The 1st European AgroFood Trade Mission was successfully organized and conducted by EVBN from January 19th to 23rd 2015 in Hanoi and HCMC.

In addition, the participants could opt to participate in the exhibition: “Le Bon Marche” on January 24th and 25th 2015 managed by CCIFV. The Trade Mission covered different activities ranging from informational meetings over so-called “Points of Sales” visit to individual “Business to Business” meetings (B2B) and networking opportunities.

1. January 19th 2015: Individual arrivals in Hanoi

2. January 20th 2015: H.E. Ambassador Mr. Franz Jessen, Head of the EU Delegation to Vietnam, opened the Mission by welcoming the participants.

– Morning: Info session including high-ranking experts such as: Mrs Tran Kim Oanh (Director of VIETRADE), Mrs Dang Thuy Ha (Consumer Insights Director of Nielsen), Mr Julien Brun (Co-Founder of Vietnam Supply Chain Community), Mrs Julie Torok (Head of Marketing in Annam Group) and Mr Albert Franceskinj (Partner of Fidal Asiattorneys) followed by a networking lunch.

– Afternoon: Individual B2B meetings in Hanoi

3. January 21st 2015:

– Morning: Individual B2B meetings in Hanoi

– Afternoon: Point of sales visits (Big C)

– Evening: Travel from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City

4. January 22nd 2015:

– Morning: Brief welcoming meeting followed by Point of sales visits in Ho Chi Minh City (An Nam Gourmet, Presentation by the Purchasing Director of Big C)

– Afternoon: Individual B2B meetings in Ho Chi Minh City

4. January 23rd 2015:  Individual B2B meetings in Ho Chi Minh City

– Closing dinner with all participants, sponsors and partners

– Official end of the Trade Mission by Pierre-Jean Malgouyres, Chairman of EVBN

5. January 24th & 25th 2015:

– Optional: Participation in the exhibition: Le Bon Marche (organized by CCIFV)

– Two out of 14 companies decided to participate in Le Bon Marche

EVBN was proud to welcome SMEs from 8 different European Member States to the Mission including: France, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Estonia, Lithuania, and Poland. The diversity of companies added to the success of the Mission by enriching discussions and exchanges between the participants and with the Vietnamese B2B partners. In total, approx. 180 meetings between Vietnamese companies and the participants were arranged in Hanoi and HCMC resulting in an average of 12 to 13 meetings per participant.
