Yahoo Small Business Email Help

  • When you host your email through Yahoo, you set up email addresses for each of your employees. A catch-all mailbox handles email sent to your domain but addressed incorrectly or to a nonexistent address. Yahoo leaves this feature inactive by default, but you can turn it on in your Email Control Panel’s Additional Options. You’ll need to designate one person’s email address to receive anything that lands in your catch-all mailbox, so you may want to consider creating an address just to serve as the recipient of this miscellaneous mail, some of which may consist of spam. The address that receives catch-all mail also appears as the sender in a reply to a catch-all message, reinforcing the need to choose the catch-all recipient carefully. Remember that catch-all email differs from the aliases, or extra addresses, you can assign to direct incoming mail sent to addresses like “[email protected]” to a specific employee’s actual email address.
