Skill Analysis
Sett is a Fighter that is usually being played in Baron Lane but also can branch out into other lanes. Sett excels in team fights by ulting one enemy champion into its own team. He loves to sponges all the enemy damage to surprise them with a huge shield, making his baiting game very strong. In short, the more damage Sett takes, the more he will be strong. Sett will be a strong pick for Baron Lane making him a solid A-tier champion.
Sett is a champion with the common five skill sets of one passive and four actives. In this Sett guide, we are going to see how his abilities in LoL Wild Rift work and when you should use which skill to be in the best shape in the current rank season.
Passive – Pit Grit
Sett´s attacks alternate between left and right punches. The right punches follow the left quickly and deal an additional 6 physical damage ( 6 + 50% bonus AD). Sett gains 0.5 Health Regeneration for each 5% missing health. Sett will reset back to a left punch if he does not do a right punch within 2 seconds of doing a left punch. It is to be noted that the attack speed of a right punch is 8 times that of a left punch.
Skill 1 – Knuckle Down
Sett itches for a fight, gaining 30% Movement Speed towards enemy champions for 1.5 seconds. This skill additionally empowers the next two attacks to deal an additional 10 plus 1.57% ( 1% + 0.01% AD) max health physical damage. The additional damage is capped at 200 against monsters.
Skill 2 – Haymaker
Passive: Stores 100% of damage taken as Grit, which is equivalent up to 3055 or 50% Health. Grit decays in a quick 4-second time interval after the damage was taken.
Active: Consumes all Grit, gaining a 100% Grit consumed shield decaying over 3 seconds. Sett then delivers a massive punch, dealing 80 plus 25% ( 25% + 0.1% bonus AD) Grit consumed true damage to enemies in the center (max 157 damage). Enemies not in the center instead take physical damage.
Skill 3 – Facebreaker
With the help of the skill, Sett manages to smash the enemies on either side into each other, dealing 85 physical damage (50 + 60% AD) and slowing them by 50% for 0.5 seconds. If Sett grabs at least one enemy on each side, all enemies are stunned for 1 second.
Skill 4 – The Show Stopper
Grabs an enemy champion and suppresses them, as he carries them forward, then slams them into the ground, dealing 200 ( 200 + 100% bonus AD) plus 40% bonus Health physical damage to surrounding enemies.
The skill also manages to slow them by 99% for 1 second. Enemies take less damage the further they are from where Sett lands.
Skill Up Methods for Sett
Players must skill up the Ultimate, whenever it is available. Regarding other skills, upgrade the 1st skill, then the 2nd skill, and lastly the 3rd skill.
Best Runes Setup and Spells for Sett in Wild Rift
Runes Setup
- Grasp of the Undying: Players must use this rune if they are building Sett tanky, in preparation to scale into the late game. Otherwise, Conqueror is also a good choice, if players want to have more damage power early game.
- Gathering Storm: Since we have picked up Grasp, players need to take Gathering Storm to increase their scaling power, which is a no-brainer. It increases the AD power every third minute, helping him to get the missing attack damage from Grasp.

- Adaptive Carapace: Adaptive not only makes Sett tankier with additional health but also increases the AR/MR when in low health. Since Sett is a champion who thrives on playing with low health, Adaptive will support the gameplay like no other rune. But, players must always look at the specific match-up they will face. Sometimes, taking the anti-combo rune Bone Plate is smarter.
- Sweet Tooth: This rune should help players during the laning phase, by giving them extra health and gold, when taking the lane´s Honeyfruit. It is a common early game rune that a lot of top laners take.
Battle Spells
Flash
Sett does not have a dash and his only semi-escaping tool is his ultimate, which requires an enemy champion. Therefore, taking flash is a sort of mandatory to not only survive but also get closer to enemy champions.
Ignite
Taking Ignite will always guarantee players with a kill if the enemy champion does not have Barrier. Sett has to go all-in and use all of his skills to get a takedown. Ignite helps him to secure the kill.

League of Legends: Wild Rift Sett Gameplay Tips
As we figured out, Sett is a Fighter suited to being played in Baron Lane. Players must remember that the Wild Rift’s Map is a mirror. Therefore, one must make sure that they understand the map side before starting to lane. According to his gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our Wild Rift Sett guide includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid and late game.
Early Game
Typically, for every Baron laner, their focus in the early game should be on farming minions, while dodging the opponent’s attacks. At the same time, one should not let him farm easily either. Take advantage of Sett´s counter match-ups and use that knowledge to either engage hard or keep distance.

Mid Game
Sett thrives in team fights, so it would be beneficial to be present at the first dragon/herald fight. Since with the ultimate, players can take the enemy´s focus onto him. They must sponge up all the incoming damage with the second skill. They must try the frontline, as much as possible for your team and not be scared to get a low health bar. Sett´s kit is made to bait the enemy while keeping yourself alive at all costs.

Late Game
Late Game would play out the same way as the Mid Game with catching out lost enemy champions. Players must throw them into the air to execute them. Although Sett is not the best solo lane pusher, players must not forget to push their lane. In teamfights, they must try to ult the enemy´s highest priority target to give the team an advantage. They might want to try specific skill combos like this to unleash her full potential.

Final Thoughts
Baron lane had been missing some proper tank players for quite some time and Sett is here to finally fill the hole. His playstyle to “jump in head first”, is also very fun to utilize. The true damage aspect might seem OP for a lot of players but they have to execute it properly to even take advantage of it. Overall, Sett is a great addition to the game and brings some fresh air into the top lane. Who knows maybe but he will even branch out into other lanes after a while.
