After “The Social Network,” Johnson landed roles in movies like “21 Jump Street” and a “Need for Speed.”
Her biggest role came in 2015 when she made her debut as Anastasia Steele in “Fifty Shades of Grey,” based on a novel written by E.L. James.
Like the book, the film went on to become a success and spawned two sequels (also based on novels) that starred Johnson and Jamie Dornan.
Johnson also starred in rom-coms like “How to Be Single” and dramas like “The Peanut Butter Falcon.”
She starred in Luca Guadagnino’s 2018 “Suspiria” remake and appeared alongside Tracee Ellis Ross in the 2020 movie “The High Note.”
Next, she’ll appear in Maggie Gyllenhaal’s directorial debut film “The Lost Daughter,” which also stars Olivia Colman and Peter Sarsgaard.
Johnson has been dating Coldplay frontman Chris Martin since 2017.
