The Changes to Smeraldo Blog Over Time

This is more of a personal post to help me keep track of what changes occurred each time the blog changes and what they meant. I hope it might be useful for other armys too. For those who don’t know what the Smeraldo Blog is all about , I will recommend Lyna’s Summary on Twitter. I will keep updating this as the blog updates

This new story talks of construction being halted by a typhoon. A young man comes with an umbrella in the rain and stares at the shop for 10 minutes. His emotions are hard to read.

The shop owner checks up on the shop, feeling a premonition that someone will come but nobody comes. This is a reference to last year when on the same date Jin had placed his order. Since he did not do it this time, we can assume it is because of Epiphany- in which he picks up the diary and gives it back

August 12, 2020 : story changes – “Latest Update in A While“- a new story!

This story expands on the legend of Smeraldo- adding that the man in the legend set fire to his garden-and the fire eventually burned his castle and other houses. Some time later he was spotted with an unreadable expression and a scar on his face. The ‘unreadable expression’ is a phrase that comes up often in MOTS Album Notes – usually used to describe Jin. He also says he saw a man with similar expression while watching the news and felt a pang in his heart and wondered why the man was familiar to him.

TENTH STORY: ” The Tenth Story”

August 22, 2020: “Got To Attend Fireworks Festival”– a new story!

This story tells us a few interesting things:

The shop is opening on August 25 ( date of HYYH Notes 2 Release and Dynamite B Side)
The Smeraldo owner was invited to the annual fireworks festival in Songju on August 30. Smeraldo flowers will be used for decoration. He asks the readers to drop by and check the flowers, keeping in mind the meaning of Smeraldo- which means ‘the truth untold’. Could it be a hint that Jin may confess his truth to the others on this day?
The location of the shop was specified- near Munhyeon Dongil Cinema- which is same as the fictional location on the Songju Map.
