King Legacy is a Roblox game that combines high-octane action with a well-thought-out progression system that rewards discipline and consistency. Similar to other games, such as Blox Fruits, King Legacy provides an excellent experience based on a hugely popular anime, namely One Piece. Interestingly, the game’s name had to be changed to King Legacy from King Piece due to copyright reasons. It’s very easy to see why!

Given King Legacy’s complex scaling system and the smorgasbord of game mechanics and items, the game can be a little daunting to start with. As such, we have compiled a comprehensive beginner’s guide that will introduce you to all things King Legacy and give you some useful tips to send you on your way!

The Basics

Assuming this isn’t your first game, you’re likely to know already that you can move around using the WASD keys, and the Space Bar can be used to jump. Furthermore, you can press Q to dash. Other buttons will be utilized for Fruit abilities, though they are accompanied by instructions letting you know which button to mash. We weren’t kidding when we said this guide is comprehensive!

Now that you can move around, it’s time you start grinding. You’ll first spawn on Starter Island, on which you’ll kill and maim your way to level 100. Doing the Fried Chicken Quest until you hit level 10 is the best way to go about it. Once you’re level 10, you can buy a Katana and use the Soldiers Quest to farm more. There are other Quests that you can use to farm as well, but you’ll want to farm whatever Quest you’re comfortable with till level 100.

After that, you’ll need to get a nice farming fruit by spinning Gacha. Once your fruit is acquired, you are officially set to begin your King Legacy journey in earnest.

Everything You Need To Know

This section will give you a quick run-down of the important game mechanics you should be aware of and general guidelines on their pertinence and usage. Before we begin, note that Beli and Gems are the in-game currency. You can purchase Gems with Robux, whereas Beli must be earned via Quests and farming.

Stats

King Legacy Stats

The first thing you need to be aware of in King Legacy is your character’s Stats. These attributes describe your character’s affinity towards certain traits, and scaling them provides bonuses specific to that attribute. The attributes and their bonuses are:

  • Defense: Scaling this Stat is imperative to long-term success in King Legacy. This attribute determines your maximum HP, which can go as high as 42,600. Trust us on this; you’ll need this Stat leveled!
  • Melee: Scaling this Stat increases your melee item damage, unlocks different abilities on Fighting Styles, and increases the amount of Geppo jumps you can perform.
  • Sword: Scaling this Stat increases the damage you deal via Swords and unlocks different Sword abilities. Essential to scale if you are going for a Sword build.
  • Power Fruit: Scaling this Stat increases the damage you deal via Fruits, and unlocks various Fruit abilities. If you have a strong Fruit (Rare or above), scaling this attribute is the best thing you can do.

Devil Fruits

Devil Fruits, usually just called Fruits, are the most important aspect of King Legacy. They are consumable items that give you various abilities upon consumption, with the downside being that you lose the ability to swim. Looks like the old adage of not swimming with a full stomach has significant traction among the King Legacy developers! In general, Fruits are pretty much essential for PvP and grinding.

Fruits can be of three types: Paramecia, Zoan, and Logia.

Zoan Fruit

Zoan Fruits generally give you the ability to transform into a more powerful being, such as a dinosaur (Spinosaurus and Allosaurus are available forms) or a mythical creature (Dragon).

Logia Fruits

Logia Fruits provide you immunity against Sword attacks that are not using Haki, a special item that increases Sword damage and nullifies Sword immunity. Importantly, Logia Fruits grant you immunity against many lower-leveled NPCs, making them great for grinding. However, they do nothing to mitigate Fruit damage!

Paramecia Fruits

Paramecia Fruits give you the ability to control yourself or your surroundings in some powerful way. This manifests in various ways, such as the ability to control gravity.

Love and Smoke Fruit

No matter the type of Fruit, they are very useful. Some high-value Uncommon Fruits include Love and Smoke. These two are especially useful since they provide great value for little cost.

You can get Devil Fruits from the Black Market, Gacha, or by finding them randomly. The Black Market is the most reliable way to get Fruits, though you can sometimes get Rare Fruit from the Gacha at a standard 250,000 Beli price.

Fighting Styles

Fighting Styles

Alongside Swords and Devil Fruits, Fighting Styles are the third main way to deal damage in King Legacy. Fighting Styles involve you taking the fight into your own hands, literally. Since they rely on melee engagement, they’re only useful for close to medium-range combat.

There are six Fighting Styles in total, and one can switch between Fighting Styles for free after they have been purchased once. In general, Cyborg and Dark Leg are considered the best Fighting Styles in the game.

Allying

Allying

If you’re playing with friends and planning on taking down a boss, allying is an essential game mechanic you need to be aware of. To ensure your friend doesn’t accidentally blow you to Kingdom Come, you’ll want to Ally with them. You can do this by accessing the menu tab in the top-left corner.

You can invite your friends to become Allies, after which they cannot hurt you via their attacks, Fruit-based or otherwise. You and your friends can cease this alliance at any point, so internal struggles are not guaranteed to be resolved peacefully!

Bounties

Bounties

While many players prefer PvE, King Legacy gives the option for PvP. However, it is made more interesting by the Bounty system. In essence, the more players a player kills, the higher their bounty becomes. As a result, someone who is on a rampage will find themselves hunted for their high bounty.

Of course, prospective bounty hunters may also be dissuaded by a large bounty, as it signals a person’s ability to kill highly efficiently! This means that a high bounty is both a flex and a target on your back, which is an interesting combination.

Conclusion

We hope this guide has been helpful in showing you the ropes of King Legacy. Remember, while the game may seem intimidating at first, it’s really fun once you get into it. We trust that we’ve made that process slightly easier. Good luck, and have fun!
