Reddit – Dive into anything

Ok so… I’m looking for a couple of good wireless earbuds on a budget !

One for me, one for my mom. I’m not what you’d call an audiophile, however I do listen to music almost on a daily basis while I’m walking from one place to another. And my mom just wants some so she can handle calls more easily, without holding the phone to her ear all that time ( she has long phone calls, most of them are more than 1 hour long ).

What I did ( and please don’t lauch ) is simply google “best wireless earbuds” and checked like the first few results. Some models keep popping on more Top 10’s Top 20’s, others don’t… however it should be noted that some are not even available in my country and I’m trying to buy them off the market from other people, not from stores.

So far these are my options, keep in mind that all of them are either new or like new. I don’t really care much about warranty. I’ll write them in order of what I feel are the best deals so far and I’ll update once or twice if necessary, based on what I’m talking with the sellers.

  1. Panasonic RZ-S500W ( like new ) for $30. As far as I read, while Panasonic is a very old and reputable company in the space, they’re kinda new to wireless earbuds. However, WhatHiFi ranks them as #2 on their list ( https://www.whathifi.com/best-buys/best-wireless-earbuds-budget-and-premium ). Would really love to hear from someone who actually has a pair of these, I feel like this is the dark horse on my list.

  2. Jabra Elite 3 ( like new ) for $28. I admit, until earlier this year I never heard about Jabra. However, the more I looked into wireless earbuds, the name kept popping up. Seems like they’re one of the big boys, next to Sony, BOSE Sennheiser and a couple others. I still don’t get what the difference is between the “2” “3” “4” “5” and the “65T” “75T” “85T” is, except the T’s looking more premium but also more bulky and with a bit of an outdated design. Would love to hear from someone who’s into the Jabra Elite. These keep appearing in several Top 10’s over the internet.

  3. Sony WF-500B ( new ) for $36. It is my understanding that this model is one of Sony’s best selling wireless earbuds and widely known as the “little brother” of what most consider the best all around wireless earbuds out there, the Sony WF-1000XM4. I already own a pair of wired Sony earbuds which I’m using as my “daily driver”, the Sony MDR-XB70AP which I’m pretty found of, so I know I can’t go wrong with Sony when it comes to earbuds.

  4. Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 ( like new ) for $30. I’m considering these both because I’ve seen them on a couple of tops but also due to the fact that I’m a fan of Anker’s powerbanks and smartphone accessories. Also a friend has an Anker portable bluetooth speaker which sound pretty damn good for it’s size. I tend to see Anker as a pretty serious & reliable company. I have no idea if they’re doing it right when it comes to earbuds though. There’s a small chance I can also get the Soundcore Liberty Air 2 PRO ( new ) for $45-50, but thing is I would really like to put a cap at $40…

  5. Razer Hammerhead ( new ) for $24. These are labelled as gaming earbuds. I don’t really know what exactly sets them appart from “regular” earbuds, I don’t do mobile gaming ( almost at all ), however I’ve been a big fan of Razer’s keyboards & mice over the years ( going back 20 years ago ), had a couple of PC headsets as well, I was always happy with the quality of their products and moreso how they look. I’m a sucker for aesthetics, so I admit, being able to customize the LED Razer Logo on each piece individually is a pretty fun feature for me. I found these on the lower end of a Top 20, can’t find it right now though.

  6. EarFun Free 2 ( new ) for $40. EarFun kept popping on these tops, however I’m pretty sure it wasn’t this exact model, the Free 2. I haven’t really looked much into EarFun and I don’t know if it’s up there with other premium manufacturers, but it does look “fun”, lol. Hopefully someone can rate them.

  7. Cambridge Audio Melomania 1 Plus ( new ). Many people seem to be high on these earbuds ! Problem is that this isn’t available in my country, only one guys has a pair for sale and he’s selling them for the same price on Amazon, $60. I’m trying to negotiate and get them down to $40 but I don’t know if he’ll budge that much. I really love how they look, I find the design to be really slick. However, I will only take this one into consideration if the guy accepts $40.

  8. Tronsmart Spunky Beat ( like new ) for only $14. Some will probably raise their eyebrow on this final entry and it’s perfectly understandable. My thought process behind putting these on my list is that I tend to view Tronsmart as a company overall similarly to Anker. They dwell in the same fields when it comes to portable gadgets and it seems like they do quality producs as well. Recently I purchased a couple of portable bluetooth speakers ( the Tronsmart T6 Upgraded ) and I’m pretty happy with them. I’m kind of hoping the same quality would be present in their earbuds as well, however I’m kinda worried about the very low price.

Looking forward to your suggestions and thoughts, thank you.
