Reddit – Dive into anything

Hello,

I’m not really experienced with VPS’es so maybe i’m messing up the terminology here. But I have had a machine for a number of years now, that i rent from a european company. (C*nfu)

It’s a ubuntu machine and i administer it myself (well, i’m root), I use it mainly for personal development and some IRC. I connect to it through SSH.

Lately I’ve noticed that the machine seems a bit sluggish sometimes, most notably when trying to reconnect to old tmux sessions/windows. Emacs can take one minute to be responsive.

Never really tried much else, so…. I would like to try and just rent a completely different machine for a month or two if possible, just to compare a bit – and maybe start moving stuff from my old host to a new one.

I’m currently paying around 45 eurodollars per years – is there anything in this price range where i can rent just per month? Do you have any tips?
