Meta for Business
Earlier this year we announced the Audience Network — a new way for advertisers to extend their campaigns beyond Facebook and into other mobile apps. Today, we’re making the Audience Network available to more marketers worldwide and announcing a new feature.
The Audience Network uses the same targeting and measurement features that marketers already use when advertising on Facebook. Audience Network ads also use the same imagery as Facebook ads.
Ads delivered by the Audience Network come in three varieties — banner, interstitial and a native format designed to fit seamlessly within the apps they appear.
Here’s how a native-format ad looks in Shazam:
In addition to making the Audience Network more widely available, we’re also expanding the types of ads it displays. Along with app install and app engagement ads, the Audience Network now supports link ads, meaning any advertiser can use the network to drive traffic to its mobile website.
Businesses are already seeing strong results with the Audience Network. Relative to other Facebook campaigns, Walgreens increased its reach by 5% and improved its click-through rate by 4-5X during tests with the Audience Network.
“Facebook understands how to connect with customers any time, on any screen, and with the right message and the Audience Network only further supports this approach.” — Adam Kmiec, Senior Director, Mobile, Social and Content Marketing, Walgreens
Compared to previous Facebook campaigns, publishing company HarperCollins saw a 16% increase in impressions using the Audience Network.
“The Audience Network has helped us reach potential new readers outside of News Feed. We’ve found the Audience Network to be a very effective marketing tool and we’ve used it for some of our bestselling authors, including Susan Elizabeth Phillips and James Rollins, just to name a few.” — Jennifer Hart, SVP, Associate Publisher and Group Marketing Director of William Morrow, an imprint of HarperCollins
And game developer Machine Zone has found new, highly engaged players while decreasing its cost per install.
“In the US on both iOS and Android, the Audience Network has allowed us to open up additional traffic segments that monetize on par with mobile News Feed.” — Deepak Gupta, Chief Revenue Officer, Machine Zone, Inc.
As of today, all app ads and link ads are eligible to appear in the Audience Network. Our ads interfaces — the Ads Create tool, Power Editor and the API — will show you whether your ads are eligible for the Audience Network.
