Invitation Letter
An Invitation Letter for a visa is a letter that the applicant has to submit to the Embassy or Consulate where he/she is applying for a business, tourist or visitor visa. An invitation letter issued by a company, corporation, institution, or an individual that the applicant plans to visit.
For Business visa the letter must contain the following information:
- Letter must be written on company letterhead
- Letter must be addressed to the Embassy or Consulate where the visa application will be submitted
- Letter must state the personal information of the applicant: full name, gender, date of birth and passport details: number, issue and expiration date
- Letter must state the position of the applicant at the company
- Letter must explain the relationship between the host and the applicant
- Letter must briefly state the nature or purpose of applicant’s visit
- Letter must state the approximate date of visit, the date of arrival and departure
- Letter must indicate who will be responsible for the cost of the applicant’s accommodations and travel expenses
- Letter must have information of the inviting host: company, corporation, institution, name of individual who signs the letter, phone number, address
- Letter must specify the validity of the visa and number of entries the applicant is requesting
- Letter must be signed by host, and if applicable, seal and signature of the legal representative
- Letter does not need to be original (unless specifically requested by the respected Embassy/Consulate)
For Tourist visa the letter must contain the following information:
- Letter must be written on company letterhead
- Letter must be addressed to the Embassy or Consulate where the visa application will be submitted

- Letter must be signed by host, and if applicable, seal and signature of the legal representative
- Letter does not need to be original (unless specifically requested by the respected Embassy/Consulate)
