Grab a deal with our Football Manager 2020 bargains guide
It can be expensive amassing a squad of the world’s best youngsters to take on the world in Football Manager 2020.
Thankfully, Football Manager is the kind of game where frugality is rewarded – and snapping up bargains has long been one of the game’s most enjoyable aspects.
We’ve put together a list of the best cheap wonderkids below, but you can find cheaper players of any age with a simple trick in the player search page.
When adding filters, be sure to check the option for 6-months left on contracts – meaning you can jump into negotiations with a player and sign them on a free (albeit with a signing-on fee, or unless they renew their contract). You can also filter by release clauses, meaning you can snag someone for just the right amount if you know what your budget is.
Without further ado, here are the best wonderkids for as little money as possible.
Mục Lục
Rayan Cherki – Olympique Lyonnais – LW/CAM/RW
Frenchman Cherki is only 15, but is well worth picking up

A 15-year old French youngster, you can snap up Cherki from the outset of Football Manager 2020 – and since he’s on less than £100 per week, you really should.
In fact, you can snap him up for around £1m, and he has the potential to offer the kind of midfield playmaker that De Bruyne offers Man City – if you train him properly, of course.
Naci Unuvar – Ajax – LW/CAM
For just £1m, this Dutch player has a remarkable finishing stat

Not quite as versatile at Cherki, Unuvar is a similarly talented player. At just 16, this Dutch player is growing in pace and flair but offers an impressive finishing stat right off the bat.
Again, he’ll cost you around £1m, and could be the playmaker you end up building your squad around – pulling the strings and finding space.
Francisco Trincao – Braga – LW/RW
Trincao is a regular wing-wizard and a steal at £5m

A player comfortable on either flank, this 19-year-old Portuguese winger offers impressive dribbling, pace, acceleration and crossing – making him an ideal wide-option.
With impressive flair and decent dead-ball stats for corners and free-kicks, he’s the kind of wing-wizard that could provide a boost to any team – and you can snap him up for around £5m in the game’s opening transfer window.
Lazaro – Flamengo – Striker/LW
Lazaro is already a decent player, and could be world-class with training

If Mbappe is too expensive for your club (and that’s likely to be the case for many), you could do a lot worse than Lazaro.
This forward can dribble and finish, and while he could do with some coaching on the mental aspects of his game, he is just 17 years old. You can snap him up in the Summer window of 2020 for around £2m.
Pedrinho – Corinthians – RW/CAM
Pedrinho is already the full package and his release clause is just £9m
© SEGA
A little something for the right-hand side of your squad, this Brazilian is already 21 when the game starts – and could slot into plenty of sides, with impressive dribbling, passing and agility. He’s also got decent vision, and impressive long shots.
While a ready-made player might sound expensive, his release clause is only around £9m – meaning you can snag him without protracted negotiations (with his club, at least).
Marcos Leonardo – Santos – Striker/LW
This 16-year-old has a whopping 18 determination

Our final entry is another Brazilian, although Leonardo is just 16-years-old. Despite that, he scores an impressive 18 for Determination and has good base stats for finishing, heading, and pace.
It doesn’t take too long to see what the fuss is all about, though, as he soon earns himself excellent shooting, dribbling and acceleration stats – making the £600k you can pick him up for feel like an absolute steal.
