eSIMs | How to Activate & Where to Get Help | Metro by T-Mobile
I purchased a new Metro device activated on eSIM
- iPhone
- Power on your device.
- Make sure you’re on a reliable Wi-Fi Connection.
- During the inital setup, tap your Metro by T-Mobile cellular plan and tap Continue. You won’t connect to the network if you choose Not now.
- Samsung
- Make sure you’re on a relable Wi-Fi Connection.
- From your home screen, tap Settings > Connections > SIM card manager > Add Mobile Plan > Scan Carrier QR Code.
- Use your phone camera to scan the QR code or manually enter the SMDP+ address shown below.
- Tap Confirm.
I brought my own eSIM compatible device and activated on eSIM
- iPhone:
- Make sure you are on a reliable Wi-Fi connection.
- Watch for a notification on your device that your Metro by T-Mobile cellular plan is ready to be installed.
- Tap the notification to complete your eSIM activation and connect to the Metro by T-Mobile network.
If you did not receive the notification, follow these steps:
- From your home screen, tap settings > cellular > add cellular plan.
- Use your phone camera to scan the QR code or manually enter the SMDP+ address shown below.
- Tap add cellular plan.
- Samsung:
- Make sure you’re on a reliable Wi-Fi Connection.
- From your home screen, tap Settings > Connections > SIM card manager > Add Mobile Plan > Scan Carrier QR Code.
- Use your phone camera to scan the QR code or manually enter the SMDP+ address
- Tap Confirm.
- Pixel:
- Make sure you’re on a reliable Wi-Fi Connection.
- From you home screen, tap Settings > Network & Internet.
- Next to SIMs choose the plus symbol and tap Download your SIM > Next > T-Mobile.
- Use your phone camera to scan the QR code or manually enter the SMDP + address.
- Tap Confirm.
