Cheap Places to Eat on the Las Vegas Strip

Finding ways to eat cheap in Las Vegas is an effective way to stretch your budget and conserve cash for more exciting activities, like gambling (I kid, I kid… kinda).

One thing I always try to do is find cheap restaurants to eat at for breakfast and lunch and then splurge on something more upscale for dinner.

With prices for nearly everything on the Las Vegas Strip on the rise, where can you find a cheap meal anymore? Fortunately, most Las Vegas Strip resorts offer at least one budget option to cater to those looking to save money on meals.

Below, I’ll go property by property and detail restaurants where Las Vegas visitors can still eat cheaply. To qualify for the “cheap eats on the Strip” list, there must be meals available for about $15 or less.

I’ll also be sure to link out to menus where applicable so that you can easily compare and contrast your options!

Cheap Eats at Mandalay Bay

Mandalay Bay Food Court: With numerous cheap, quick, meal options, Mandalay’s food court has something for everyone. Options include Subway, Nathan’s Famous Hotdogs, Pan Asian, Bonnano’s Pizzeria, and Johnny Rockets.

Slice of Vegas: A pizza joint located in the Shops at Mandalay Bay, Slice of Vegas sells pizza by the slice for about $7.50 after tax. Two slices are likely to satisfy most pangs of hunger for about $15. Not bad!

Options Near Mandalay Bay: If you don’t mind walking, there are a few cheap food options across the street from the resort in a strip mall. Options include a Panda Express, Subway, McDonald’s, and Rocco’s NY Pizza & Pasta. To access the strip mall, exit Mandalay Bay and head south on the Strip. You can cross Las Vegas Blvd. at Four Seasons Drive.

Cheap Eats at Luxor

Luxor Food Court: Cheap quick-serve restaurant options at Luxor’s food court include LA Subs, Bonnano’s Pizzeria, Nathan’s Famous Hotdogs, Original Chicken Tender, and Johnny Rockets.

Backstage Deli: Among the inexpensive assortment of breakfast, lunch, and dinner selections at Backstage Deli is a $10 breakfast sandwich served on a bagel with a fried egg, choice of meat, and cheese. For lunch and dinner, a $10 1/4 lb. burger is offered in addition to a number of other salad and sandwich options.

Backstage Deli is also one of the few restaurants on the Las Vegas Strip open 24 hours.

Pyramid Cafe: While the majority of breakfast items at Pyramid don’t qualify as overly cheap, they do serve up waffles, breakfast pizzas, and a bagel sandwich at a price point below $15. For Lunch, they offer an “Original Burger” for around $16 that comes with your choice of french fries or sweet potato fries.

I added pepper jack to my burger and found it to be a strong value.

Cheap Eats at Excalibur

Johnny Rockets: Relatively cheap burgers, fries, and traditional American fare is what Johnny Rockets is known for. Johnny Rockets also offers an affordable breakfast menu.

Excalibur Food Court: Located up the escalator on the second level, the food court is packed with cheap and quick fast food options like Popeyes Chicken, Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, Breakfast and Burgers, Cinnabon, Einstein Brother’s Bagels, Hot Dog on a Stick, Pick Up Stix (Asian), Krispy Kreme, Pizza Hut Express, and Schlotzsky’s Sandwiches.

Cheap Eats at New York New York

Shake Shack: A national chain, guests can score relatively inexpensive burgers, fries, and hot dogs. Ordering a full meal will get you close to the $15 threshold I previously established to qualify as cheap, but you can get a solid lunch or snack at a relatively low price at Shake Shack.

America: If you’re seeking a cheap breakfast on the Strip, America at NYNY offers a selection of eggs, Omelets, and breakfast sandwiches at a price point hovering around $15.

Their lunch and dinner menu is similarly inexpensive with many options hovering around that $15 price point as well.

Notably, America is also one of the few Strip restaurants offering all-day breakfast.

I recently stopped by America for breakfast and found their NY steak & eggs to be a solid value.

Broadway Burger Bar: Most burgers on Broadway Burger Bar’s menu land around, or under, the $15 mark. While adding fries will likely put you over that amount, I felt the option was worth a mention.

Top Round Roast Beef: A recent addition to The Park outside NYNY, Top Round Roast Beef serves roast beef sandwiches, chicken & wings, salads, and hotdogs at a sub $15 price point. For those unfamiliar, think Arby’s, but better.

Village Street Eateries: A number of cheap meal options are tucked into the elaborately themed city near Times Square Bar on the New York New York gaming floor. Options include Sirrico’s pizza by the slice, Greenberg’s Deli, and Fulton’s Fish Frye which serves fish and chips, clam chowder, shrimp, and chicken.

The cheap eats at NYNY can be found in one of the cooler parts of the resort.

Nathan’s Hot Dogs: Offering locations both near the arcade and on the mezzanine level, Nathan’s is cheap and quick.

48th and Crepe: For those looking for a cheap breakfast option, 48th and Crepe serves up a number of both sweet and savory crepes at a price point at or below $15.

Cheap Eats at MGM Grand

Pieology Pizzaria: A differentiated offering that allows guests to build their own personal pizza by selecting and any assortment of toppings, all for about $15.

Avenue Cafe: While not everything on the menu qualifies as cheap, MGM Grand’s Avenue Cafe offers a number of breakfast and lunch items at a price point near $15. Cheap breakfast items include buttermilk pancakes, French toast, and a Belgian waffle. Lunch selections include a selection of flatbreads, a BLT, and salads.

MGM Grand Food Court: With cheap, efficient meal options like Bonnano’s Pizzeria, Pan Asian Express, Tacos N ‘Ritas, Johnny Rockets, and Original Chicken Tender, there is bound to be something that is destined to hit the spot.

Subway: It’s a known quantity. It’ll never surprise you, and can be a great option if looking for a cheap meal on the Strip.

Denny’s: Located just north of MGM Grand, the popular chain is a can’t miss spot to grab a cheap meal.

Raising Cane’s: Also north of MGM Grand in the Showcase Mall, Raising Canes recently opened their elaborate Strip location. For my money, Cane’s are the best chicken fingers on the planet.

Cheap Eats at Park MGM

BetMGM Sportsbook & Bar: The menu at BetMGM includes a selection of “tailgate” items like hotdogs, chicken sandwiches, and burgers at a price point of around $15.

Crack Shack: Inexpensive items on Crack Shack’s menu include a collection of sandwiches available for under $15. Fries are extra and will add $3.50 to your bill.

Cheap Eats at Aria

Proper Eats Food Hall: A step above the traditional food court on the quality spectrum, Proper Eats offers a variety of upscale quick-serve restaurant options that include breakfast sandwiches, burgers, pizza, donuts, ramen, sushi, sandwiches, Mediterranian, and Korean street food. Most of the restaurants offer at least some selections that land in the vicinity of $15, give or take a few bucks.

Posh Burger: Included on Posh Burger’s menu are a selection of burgers and chicken sandwiches that land in the $15 range. Pair their standard hamburger with a side of fries, and you’ll spend just north of $15.

Aria Patisserie: While inexpensive dining at Aria can be somewhat elusive, their patisserie is a great spot to score an inexpensive bite for breakfast. There, you’ll find a selection of sweet & savory crepes, omelettes, and breakfast sandwiches at a $10-$15 price point.

Cheap Eats at Planet Hollywood

Pin-Up Pizza: Accessible from the Strip side of the property, Pin-Up pizza serves massive New York style slices. At under $10 per slice, Pin-Up makes for a cheap lunch option.

Ocean One: Located in the Miracle Mile Shops, Ocean One is one of the best spots to hit for a cheap meal on the Strip. Their $5.99 lunch menu has attracted a cult following among Vegas value seekers. For the price, the portions are large and of high quality. Cocktails at Ocean One are always 3 for 1 as well.

Honestly, pretty darn satisfying for $4.99.

La Salsa Cantina: Ranking among my favorite cheap breakfasts in Vegas, La Salsa serves a $4.95 meal complete with 2 eggs, choice of meat, southwest potatoes, and tortillas until noon daily. In addition to breakfast, there is a solid selection of lunch items hovering around a $15 price point.

Blondies: Also home to one of my favorite “all you can drink deals” in Vegas, Blondies also offers an abundance of breakfast items at a $15 or lower price point that includes omelets, a 2-egg breakfast, a breakfast quesadilla, and more.

Hot & Juicy Crawfish: One of the more unique cheap places to eat in the Miracle Mile Shops, Hot & Juicy Crawfish serves a number of baskets for around $15. Options include a shrimp basket, catfish basket, crab basket, and even a chicken wing basket for the less adventurous.

Quick and Cheap Options in the Miracle Mile Shops: There is a literal abundance of additional cheap restaurants in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood. Options include Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, Chipotle, Earl of Sandwich, Panda Express, Sbarro, Ketchup, and Subway.

Chick-Fil-A: Located right on the Strip (near Pin-Up Pizza), the popular chain could be a solid option for a quick bite.

Harmon Corner (Next Door to Planet Hollywood)

Taco Bell Cantina: In a departure from their typical restaurant offerings, the Taco Bell located on the Strip serves slushie boozy drinks alongside tacos and an upbeat party atmosphere. . While I’m not likely their target audience, I found the restaurant to be so loud that conversation was nearly impossible.

Steer clear if loud “Untz music” isn’t up your alley.

Other Fast Food Options: Harmon Corner is a mall directly on the Las Vegas Strip, and neighbors Planet Hollywood to the south. Inside, there are a number of cheap fast food options including Panda Express, McDonald’s, and Subway.

Cheap Eats at Horseshoe

Nosh Deli: For breakfast, Nosh serves a collection of breakfast sandwiches at a sub $15 price point. They also offer a small selection of inexpensive salads and sandwiches.

Dirt Dog: Located in the Grand Bazaar Shops out front, Dirt Dog serves up an eclectic variety of gourmet hot dogs at a price point under $10. These aren’t your typical hot dog. With options ranging from a typical chili cheese dog to the “Pastrami Dog”, there are plenty of unique options.

Istanbul Mediterranean: Serving gyros, shawarma sandwiches, and bowls in the Grand Bazaar Shops, most items on the menu are right at a $10 price point. A cheap meal option considering the amount of food you get for the money.

Pisa Pizza: Also located in the colorful Grand Bazaar Shops in front of Horseshoe, Pisa Pizza serves whole pizzas, pizza by the slice, nachos, and churros at an inexpensive price point.

Dave’s Hot Chicken: Taking the place of Hattie B’s Chicken in the Grand Bazaar Shops, Dave’s serves up a selection of chicken tenders and sandwiches that won’t break the bank. Uniquely, you can choose the level of heat desired with options ranging from no kick to “Extra Hot” and “Reaper”. Several meals that include fries are offered for under $15.

Wahlburgers: Another cheap food option in the Grand Bazaar Shops, Wahlburgers serves burgers and sandwiches at a sub-$15 price point. While adding fries will put you a hair over $15, Wahlburgers is still a solid value option.

Subway: Lastly, Subway has a location in the Grand Bazaar Shops. While a relatively unexciting option, the chain certainly qualifies as a cheap bite to eat.

Cheap Eats at Paris

Brioche by Guy Savoy: Among the cheap breakfast items on the menu at Brioche include a ham & cheese croissant and quiche at a price point of under $10. Brioche is also one of my personal places to grab pastries in Las Vegas.

Cafe Belle Madeleine: Breakfast is offered until 10:30 am and boasts a number of breakfast sandwiches for under $15. At lunch, a number of salads and sandwiches are offered at the same price point.

JJ’s Boulangerie: Like Brioche and Cafe Belle above, JJ’s Boulangerie’s offerings are focused on breakfast, with pastries costing around $5 each and a number of breakfast sandwiches priced under $15.

Cheap Eats at Bellagio

Bellagio Patisserie: While cheap places to eat at the upscale resort are tough to find, their Patisserie is an option for cheap breakfast. There, you’ll find a selection of pastries at a price of about $6 and hot breakfast items for $15 or less.

Snacks: Although Snacks doesn’t meet my pre-defined criteria for cheap eats, I’m going to include it because it’s the cheapest food option available at the upscale Bellagio. There, you’ll find a number of starters, burgers, and sandwiches for around $20. Sides are extra.

I recently stopped in and ordered chicken tenders and a side of fries. I wasn’t overly impressed with the chicken tenders, but there was an ample amount of food and I left stuffed for around $30 total.

Cheap Eats at Caesars Palace

Forum Food Court: One of my favorite spots to grab a cheap lunch on the Strip, the food court at Caesars offers a diverse set of options including The Halal Guys, DiFara Pizza, Smashburger, Tiger Wok and Ramen, Earl of Sandwich, and TaCo.

Of the options in the food court, my favorite is The Halal Guys. I always get the Gyro Bowl, and it is consistently delicious in addition to being more than enough food for one person.

Pronto by Giada: Pronto offers an assortment of breakfast sandwiches and lunch items like pizza, sandwiches, wraps, and soup for around or a tad over $15.

Brioche by Guy Savoy: A cheap breakfast destination, the menu at Brioche by Guy Savoy offers a number of sandwiches for under $10 in addition to muffins, breads, and pastries for around $5 or less.

Cheap Eats at Linq

Nook Express: A quick option, Nook Express serves a selection of inexpensive breakfast sandwiches, personal pizzas, and sandwiches.

The Linq Sandwich Co.: If a hot sandwich is calling your name, check out the Linq Sandwich Co., which offers items like a Philly cheesesteak, meatball sub, and fried chicken sandwich for around $15. A cheap breakfast croissant is also offered if you’re hunting for an inexpensive breakfast.

Jaburritos: Offering a unique twist on sushi, Jaburritos serves both sushi burritos and bowls for around $15, and oftentimes less.

Haute Doggery: Another specialty hot dog joint with unique options, Haute Doggery’s dogs start at a $5 price point, with most specialty dogs costing around $7-$8. Haute Doggery can be found on the Linq Promenade as well.

In-N-Out Burger: A fast-food burger chain with a cult following, fans can snag their inexpensive, yet delicious, burgers and fries on the Linq Promenade.

Dunkin’ Donuts: Found in the hallway past hotel registration and the Purple Zebra, Dunkin’ serves up a number of breakfast sandwiches that can be paired with a coffee for around $10. Of course, they also have the normal assortment of donuts that are relatively cheap as well.

Cheap Eats at Flamingo

Flamingo Food Court: With options like Bonanno’s New York Style Pizzeria, Johnny Rockets, LA Subs, and Pan Asian, you are bound to find a low-cost option to satisfy your hunger.

Nook Express: Nook Express serves cheap grab-and-go options like breakfast sandwiches, personal pizzas, salads, and sandwiches. The restaurant has moved to the hallway past the hotel registration desk on the way to the self-parking ramp.

Cheap Eats at Cromwell

Eatwell: A small food stand located near the front entrance to the property nearest Flamingo, Eatwell offers a number of breakfast sandwiches at a $14 price point making for a quick, cheap breakfast. Inexpensive lunch items are also available.

Cheap Eats at Harrah’s

Fulton Street Food Hall: Complete with a noodle bar, pizza by the slice, a live-action burger/taco station, as well as a selection of soups and salads, Harrah’s food hall has numerous cheap meal options.

Fast Food Nextdoor: Just outside the north entrance on the Strip in between Harrah’s and Casino Royale is a food court with a McDonald’s on the upper level. The bottom level offers a Chipotle in addition to Chinese and pizza by the slice options. This is typically my personal go-to for fast food on the Strip.

Cheap Eats at Casino Royale

Food Court: Casino Royale is known for cheap gambling, cheap rooms, and cheap food right on the Las Vegas Strip. Near the back of the property is a few quick, inexpensive food options including a Subway, a Pizza Hut, and a stand that sells foot-long hot dogs for $2.99.

White Castle: A newer addition to the property, White Castle slings sliders around the clock.

Denny’s: A popular and inexpensive chain, Denny’s at Casino Royale can offer a cheap breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Cheap Eats at The Mirage

The Pantry: Offering an all-day breakfast menu, numerous items at The Pantry land in the $15 range including Pop’s Buttermilk Pancakes that are served with a dusting of sugar.

Snacks: If you’re in the mood for lunch or a light dinner, Snacks serves an assortment of burgers, sandwiches, and salads for $15 +/- a couple of bucks.

Cheap Eats at Circus Circus

Food Court Options: A newer addition to the Circus Circus culinary scene is a food court that includes Einstein Bagels, Dairy Queen (with grill), Popeye’s, and Pick Up Stix.

Westside Deli: A selection of deli sandwiches, soups, burgers, and even breakfast items, Westside Deli’s fare is almost all priced below $10.

The Pizzeria: Guests can purchase small (8′) personal pan pizzas and a selection of hot sandwiches at Circus Circus’ Pizzeria for under $10.

Slots A Fun: Stop into the small casino just south of Circus Circus for $1 hot dogs. No, it’s not gourmet, but it’s cheap!

McDonald’s: A tried and true go-to cheap, filling meal for many, Circus Circus comes equipped with a Mcdonald’s in the Midway, and another out front in between Slots a Fun and Resorts World.

Cheap Eats at Resorts World

Famous Foods Street Eats: Intended to mimic an Asian street market, Famous Foods is a collection of nearly 20 quick-serve restaurant concepts that span the culinary spectrum. Options include Texas BBQ, Chinese, sandwiches, fried chicken, and more.

While not “ultra-cheap”, most entrees cost around $15 and are of better quality than fast food. Below, are a couple of meals I recently ordered. Both were fantastic.

Other Cheap Places to Eat on the Strip

Tacos El Gordo: Even if you have yet to try it, you’ve likely seen people proclaiming Tacos El Gordo’s quality eats at a low price on social media. Located north of Wynn/Encore and across the street from Resorts World, a meal at Tacos el Gordo can easily be constructed for $15 or less.

Ellis Island: Although not directly on the Strip, it is within walking distance and offers plenty of cheap meal options. The Villiage Pub & Cafe’s menu is packed with sandwiches, burgers, and breakfast options under $15, and the quality you get for the money is strong!

If you’re in the market for a cheap breakfast, give their $8.99 Steak and Eggs special a shot. Although not on the menu, it’s among their most popular value offerings.

NY Strip Steak , Fried Shrimp, and Mashed Potatoes – $13.99

Stage Door Casino: Located steps behind Cromwell, Stage Door serves a 1/4 pound hot dog for $2.50 in addition to offering $1 beer. The bar and casino certainly aren’t luxurious, but it can be a great spot to eat cheap while playing video poker.

One last suggestion for eating cheap on the Strip is to stock your room with quick meal options from the many convenience stores like Target, CVS, and Walgreens that now line the Strip. Having sandwich construction materials and snacks at the ready in your room can help you conserve a few bucks to put towards gambling and entertainment, which is clearly more important :).
