Cheap Drinks & Happy Hours on the Strip – 2023
This post contains affiliate links and we may earn a commission if a purchase is made.
It’s not a well-kept secret that prices in Vegas, especially on the Strip, have been on an upward trajectory. A bottle of domestic beer at a casino bar can set you back upwards of $10… That’s what a 12-pack should cost!
Luckily, there are still places to grab a cheap beer or cocktail on, or within walking distance, of the Las Vegas Strip.
Below, I’ll dive into some popular drink deals and the happy hours in Vegas!
Keep in mind, happy hour deals can change frequently and without notice. I’ll do my best to stay on top of changes, but recommend clicking through to the linked menu where applicable to confirm the offer is current before making the trip!

Casino Royale: A cheap beer staple on the Strip for some time, Casino Royale had offered a $1 bottle of Michelob Ultra for years.
Unfortunately, the price recently increased to $3 but includes a wider selection of domestic and imported bottled beer. Still a fantastic drink bargain in the middle of the action on the Las Vegas Strip.

Peppermill Las Vegas: Located just north of Wynn and Encore, Peppermill stands alone as one of the more unique bar & restaurant experiences in Las Vegas. Their happy hour is offered daily from 3 pm – 6 pm and features a number of $5-$6 cocktails and rotating deals.
Peppermill. Big portions. Vintage Vegas Vibe. Delicious.
Aztec Inn Casino: Across the street from STRAT, I recently stumbled across a sidewalk sign at Aztec Inn advertising:
- $3 draft beer
- $5 well drinks
- $7 bloody marys
Now, I’m not sure if these drink deals are offered around the clock, or at specific times. Either way, Aztec Inn is likely a decent bet for a cheap drink whenever you’re in the neighborhood.
Viva at Resorts World: While not the best happy hour in Vegas from a price perspective, Viva serves happy hour from 3 pm – 5 pm daily, which includes:
- $6 bottled beer

Convenience Stores: Lastly, don’t forget about the plethora of Walgreens and CVS stores popping up on the Strip as an option if you don’t mind taking your drink to go. If unfamiliar, you can walk the strip with a drink in hand legally and the price is right!
Drink Deals Steps Away From the Strip
Ellis Island Brewery: Tucked behind Bally’s just off the Strip, Ellis Island is a diamond off the beaten path. The brewery at Ellis offers 6 permanent beers and a rotation of seasonal selections. Ellis’ brewery produces great beer and at $2.50 for a 20oz. glass, it’s a steal.
OYO: Just steps away from the Strip, OYO can be found behind Tropicana. They offer $2 bottled beer (Bud Light and Michelob Ultra) 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.

Stage Door Casino: On your way to and from Ellis Island, hit the grimy (I say that lovingly) Stage Door Casino directly behind Cromwell. Stage Door offers $1 Michelob or $2 draft Bud/Bud Light. If you’re hungry a 1/4-pound hot dog paired with a beer is $3.
It’s certainly not upscale, but if you feel out of place at the trendy, stuffy bars on the Strip, this could be your spot to grab an inexpensive drink in Las Vegas.
Not much to look at, but the beer is cheap!
Rick’s Rollin’ Smoke BBQ & Tavern: Owned by Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame, Rick’s Rollin’ Smoke is located at Pawn Plaza, it’s a ways from the action on the Strip (next door to Gold & Silver Pawn). If you’re in the neighborhood, Rick’s offers a Sunday – Thursday happy hour from both 3 pm – 6 pm and again from 9 pm – close. Deals offered include
- $4 wine
- $4 well drinks
- $5 16oz. craft beers
- $8 signature cocktails.
Fans of the show should know that Rick makes frequent appearances and even tends bar.
