Nghe câu hỏi hoặc một câu nói

Nghe 3 câu nói tương ứng với 3 lựa chọn A, B, C

Lựa chọn câu phù hợp

2. Chiến thuật làm bài TOEIC LISTENING PART 2

Bước 1. Xác định loại câu hỏi

WH questions (where- when – who – how – why)

Ví dụ

: Where is the new branch located ? → I’ve been told it willl be in Australia

⇒ Cần xác định được thông tin người hỏi cần biết (cái gì, nơi nào, khi nào, như nào và tại sao)

Chọn câu A vì câu hỏi hỏi người

Auxiliary Verbs

Can/ May

Nghe về những yêu cầu ,hoặc xin phép . Câu trả lời rơi vào YES (sure, of course).

Example:

Can I open a window?

-> Of course. I’m sweating.

TIPS : Đôi khi câu trả lời thường một người nào tình nguyện cho một hành động “LET ME DO THAT FOR YOU”

Will… ?

Nghe về một dự định, kế hoạch

Example:

Will you be attending the conference this year?

-> Unfortunately, no

Have… ?

Nghe có hoặc không về một trạng thái của hoạt động hoặc trải nghiệm

Example:

Have they found a new marketing manager yet?

-> There is another interview this afternoon.

→ Chọn (C), phủ định thông tin

Tag questions (câu hỏi đuôi)

Dùng để xác nhận một thông tin

Ví dụ:

A: Bernard is head of research and development, isn’t he?

B: Yes , he was promoted last year

The new assembly plant’s hiring soon, isn’t it?

In the garden.(A)

Can you assemble it?(B)

I already filled out an application.(C)

Negative questions (câu hỏi phủ định)

A: Isn’t it too late to call the European office?

B: No, they’re still open.

Tip: Câu trả lời cho dạng câu hỏi dạng này trong TOEIC LISTENING PART 2 có thể không bắt đầu với YES hoặc NO. Câu trả lời đôi lúc thể hiện được thông tin đang kiểm tra hoặc là không chắc chắn

Alternative questions (câu hỏi lựa chọn)

A: Will you be paying by cash or credit card?

Nghe câu hỏi thường xuất hiện những từ “ OR/ RATHER/ EITHER/ NEITHER/ BOTH”

Is the health-care lecture today or tomorrow?

Suggestions (đề nghị, đề xuất)

Thường xuất hiện những từ sau đây mang tính chất đề nghị

Câu trả lời

Từ chối (Actually, Sorry, Busy …)

Ví dụ:

Why don’t we invite Ms.Li to the business dinner?

Thường thể hiện những ý không chắc chắn

Không cần thiết phải là câu hoàn chỉnh

Nên chú ý vào thì cho câu hỏi WHEN

Quá khứ ( when did…) → ago
Tương lai ( when will… ) → soon, later, in (time)

Why không lúc nào cũng là Because . Câu trả lời thậm chí cũng là câu hỏi .

A: Why did we get this notice? →B: What notice ?

WHERE đáp án đúng là đa phần là những từ chỉ vị trí.

Where are the pens? → On the desk
