  • Journey means the journey of the Train scheduled in the relevant timetable from its station of origin to its destination station; provided that if a Train crosses a Service Group boundary then in respect of each Service Group the Train’s station of origin and destination station shall respectively mean the station at which the Train commences that part of its journey in that Service Group and the station at which it ends that part of its journey in that Service Group; and that where any Train splits to become more than one Train then that part of the Train’s journey up to the station where it splits shall be treated as one journey and each Train into which the Train splits shall be treated as making a separate journey; and “Journey Time” shall be calculated in respect of each journey by reference to the difference in minutes between the time of departure from the station of origin and the time of arrival at the destination station;

  • business vertical means a distinguishable component of an enterprise that is engaged in the supply of individual goods or services or a group of related goods or services which is subject to risks and returns that are different from those of the other business verticals.

A new job shall be as defined in the Act subject to the clarifications of new and expanding industry described in subrules 5.3(11), 5.3(14), and 5.3(15) above, except that an industry in violation of state or federal labor laws or involved in a lockout or strike in Iowa shall not be eligible for a training program under the Act.

  • Chief Student Services Officer means the Administrative Officer at the College who has overall management responsibility for student services, or his/her designee.

  • Competitive contracting means the method described in sections 45 through 49 of P.L.1999, c.440 (C.18A:18A-4.1 through C.18A:18A-4.5) of contracting for specialized goods and services in which formal proposals are solicited from vendors; formal proposals are evaluated by the purchasing agent or counsel or School Business Administrator; and the Board awards a contract to a vendor or vendors from among the formal proposals received.

  • Business Week means five consecutive Business Days, excluding Public Holidays as defined in the Public Holidays Act;

  • Business concern means any corporation, company, limited liability company, partnership, joint venture, trust, unincorporated association or any other form of association.

  • Small Commercial Customer means a Retail Electric Customer taking service under DP&L’s tariff, currently on file with the Commission, Service Classification “Small General Service-Non Demand Rate” or the Cooperative’s tariff, currently on file with the Commission, Service Classification “General Service.” However, for the purposes of these Rules, any Small Commercial Customer who has joined with an affiliated non-Small Commercial Customer or a non-Residential Customer for the purpose of contracting for Electric Supply Service shall be exempt from the definition of a Small Commercial Customer.

  • Competitive Business means the banking and financial services business, which includes, without limitation, consumer savings, commercial banking, the insurance and trust business, the savings and loan business and mortgage lending, or any other business in which any of the Bank Entities is engaged or has invested significant resources within the prior six (6) month period in preparation for becoming actively engaged.

  • Scarification means loosening the topsoil and/or disrupting the forest floor in preparation for regeneration.

  • Executive Engineer means the Executive Engineer, Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan for the time being in charge of the Central Store Division, Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan, Uttarakhand.
