Well, you should consider the advantages of sending people from the main website to the blog! Say someone was looking at Rubber A1, but couldn’t figure out what the difference was between it and A2. Supposing there’s an article on the A series of rubbers on the blog, if there were a pointer to it (from the A1 rubber page) it might help the user make up his mind and might result in a sale. Even if it doesn’t result in a sale this time it might next time. This is how Amazon does it, with reviews and links posted at the bottom of an item’s page. Even if you don’t get a sale the first time, if people start visiting the blog often, they’ll be more likely to buy from you.
