The Ultimate Warrior: The Ultimate Hypocrite

Whether or not you’ve heard the latest news this week in the wrestling world is not important .
By now You all probably know The Ultimate Warrior is a lightning rod for controversey.

In case you missed the headline’s on other sites this week.  PWInsider.com, a well as the Rajah site have all reported the story that Ultimate Warrior’s Ex wife is looking for a publisher and is shopping around a book about her life and marriage to the man known to be from “Parts Unknown”

I’m sure if published will be the talk of the wrestling world or then again it could be banished to the “Parts Unknown” section of Borders inside of a week..
By her accounts and in the book Mrs. EX-Warrior claims she knows the stunning truth  behind Warriors face paint.
She also claims he was possessed by demons, abused steriods to achieve his massive frame, and also pain medications, and anti anxeity drugs. To top that trifecta of behavior Tryee also claims Jim Hellwig ( Warrior’s real name) led a secrect double life which included infidelity and homosexual relationships. The irony she claims is that Warrior is an avowed anti-homosexual avenger and anti-drug advocate

Hell I’m not surprised by any of her claims.
So this is why I decided to write this article.
Jim Ross has already commented on this forthcoming book in his latest blog and I implore you all to read it.
So why am I writing this article on Warrior?
Because after these revelations made by his ex-wife , I feel a certain level of hypocricy by Mr Hellwig himself.
I’ve read all his blogs on his website in the past few years.
Not by searching for them myself, but because so many wrestling sites have provided links and stories claiming of his bizarre rants.

To give you a quick rundown of some of the comments and topics The Ultimate Warrior has made in the past year or so on his blog.

Warrior claims, Jake the Snake, is a waste of oxygen and should be dead and is taking up space
( This coming from a massive substance abuser himself)

Warrior claims Hulk Hogan should be ashamed of himself and his family.

Warrior also writes and has no qualms admitting as recently as Winter 2006 that he bought steriods from a native american on a reservation store/ trading post, ( which is legal because it’s sold on a reservation which is soveriegn land of the indians and they dont have to follow US law, he claims anyway)In this blog he brags about the purchase and writes in a condesending manner about how stupid the native american guy was and that he felt sorry for him because the guy thought Warrior’s gimmick was that of a native american warrior. Then UW goes on to say he was never a native american warrior and always sided with the cowboys but he didnt have the heart to tell the guy this.

In a Jan 2008 Blog entry Ultimate Warrior goes on a tirade about Heath Ledger’s death and says he too was a waste and that Ledger’s daughter will be ashamed of her father when she grows up.
After research, I give you his utter words of stupidity. I did this for all of you so you dont have to search for his site and then give his site hits that he doesnt deserve

In the interest of full disclosure, I must tell you I have watched Brokeback Mountain no less than 45 times and I own the Limited Edition DVD, signed by Willie Nelson a short time after he wrote that queer cowboy song as a tribute to the courage of the producers and actors who broke such incredible creative ground when they made their agenda-less movie. Serious. Until I saw Bendover Brokeback, Braveheart was my favorite movie. But the love scenes of Brokeback sucked me right in and I had no choice but to give myself over to the passion of its wide open range, if you get my drift. Such courage this young man and his collaegues have. Reminds me of the courage of classic movie stars, where during the War they enlisted and flew bomber planes and fought on frontlines, then came back and picked up their lives and careers right where they left off, without anti-American sentiment, whining and complaining, or self-destructive self indulgence. Apparently, Leather Hedger had sleeping troubles and anxiety and dealt with terrible mood swings. So do soldiers but they don’t self-destructively f*** up their lives. In fact, they don’t sleep, handle anxiety and mood swings while dealing with whether or not they might at any moment lose their life. And they do this all the while they are dangerously protecting the freedom of others to f*** up their own. By the way, how many 28 (or older or younger) year old soldiers met their death yesterday? It’s not easy to find out. None of them made the headlines of any news.
By today’s standard, though, I do have to agree that he was a great father. Perhaps even greater then the father of the year, Hulk Hogan. After all, Leather Hedger did what it took to kill himself. His kid is without a father, yes, but the negative influence is now removed and his own child has the chance for a full recovery. Hogan, on the other hand, won’t go quite that far. He insists on sticking around to keep further ruining, and profiting off of, the parentally mismanaged lives of his own children.
It is sad and tragic … that we don’t demand attention be paid to greater things.”

It should be noted that at the time of his blog entry Warrior got alot of heat and hate mail for those comments about Ledger.

You know The Ultimate Warrior amuses me. The Warrior has not only made it a living by living in another reality he also has made it his life.

Here is a guy who cast judement on others when he himself has done all the same things.
He is a hypocrite in the largest sense of the word. I guess he should be called “The Ultimate Hypocrite” then.
Warrior ‘s new moinker or image if you will is that of a Ultra Conserative who has made money in recent years by doing speeches at University’s like he’s frigging Karl Rove. Now while I respect Shawn Michaels, even though he has a different life then he did years ago and found religion , Michaels, doesnt act like he’s better then people. Warrior doesnt claim he’s found Jesus though.
He’s the same self centered egotistical guy he was when he wore streamers. Now  though he wears two piece suits and has a ultra conservative haircut.
Warrior ‘s god is and has always been himself.
Now while he claims he’s so much more morally sound and more important then you or I, or Jake the Snake, Hulk Hogan and others, He is actually worse.
Why?
Because he still admit to doing steroids, yet doent let us all in on his past escapades of drug abuse and all the other juicy stuff his Ex-Wife claims, yet all he can do is cast judgement upon others, up from above his Ultimate Perch.

Why would I believe his ex-wife you ask?
Well because her claims are the same stuff people have said about Warrior for years.
Hell Warriors own words incriminate himself.

Everyone hates this guy.

Warriors blogs that defied logic by promoting steriod use and exploting Native American’s all into one is just another example, and I urge any wrestling fan to go and find it on his site and read it. The Ultimate Warrior’s blogs remind me of the Unabomber. Tucked away in a remote location with only his deranged mind and a pen or in this case “The Ultimate Computer”

I even enjoyed Warrior’s jab at Hulk Hogan.( insert sarcasm here)
If The Warrior only realized he has more in common with Ledger then Hogan does. after all. Heath ledger’s daughter will years from now have the film Batman: The Dark Knight as her father’s last piece of work. One that may or may not earn his a post mortum academy award next year. Years from now Ledger’s daughter will be haunted by the images of Ledger as The Joker. As I’m afraid his likeness as The Joker will match Jack Nicholson’s as far as popularity. Ledger as The Joker has become an iconic image already. So what’s the simularites between Ledger and Ultimate Warrior and the differences?

Warrior’s kids have to still live with the embarrasement that their father made a living in clown make-up, While Heath Ledger’s daughter will always know her father’s last role was wearing clown make-up. Before Warrior throws shame at Ledger and Hogan he should look at himself in the mirror. After all he’s a master at appearing randomly in mirrors ( case in point the lead up to Halloween Havoc 98)
