Reddit – Dive into anything

Hello! So I have ran into a pickle and was hoping someone could help. I had sold my 3DS a little time ago and now have purchased a new one. When I sold my original 3DS, I formatted the system and memory card, assuming that would get rid of everything I needed to.

Now I have a new 3DS and I’m trying to connect the system to my Nintendo Network ID, and I am unable to do so. “This Nintendo Network ID has been linked to another system in the 3DS family.”

Is there a way to remotely remove the ID from my original 3DS? Or someway I can work around this? I really enjoy my username and would hate to have to get all my friends to add me again.

TLDR: I have a new 3DS and would like to link my Nintendo Network ID to it, but I can’t because Nintendo only allows each ID to be linked to only one system. I no longer have access to my old 3DS to remove ID from system. Helpppppppp. Thanks.
