Pi Network Marketplace, Business Apps, Ecosystem Apps

T

he marketplace is likely an umbrella term for applications that allow you to spend Pi tokens of which some could be shops. Goods and services will be available for exchange between and among Pi users all over the world. With Pi Network approaching open mainnet, some businesses are now preparing to transition their businesses to a more inclusive Pi Network ecosystem.
In the whitepaper, this is how Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis decribed Pi Network marketplace: Pi’s mobile application will  serve as a Point of Sales where Pi’s members can offer their untapped goods and services via a “virtual storefront” to other members of the Pi Network. For example, a member offers up an underutilized room in their apartment for rent to other members on the Pi Network. In addition to real assets, members of the Pi Network will also be able to offer skills and services via their virtual storefronts. For example, a member of the Pi Network could offer their programming or design skills on the Pi marketplace. Overtime, the value of Pi will be supported by a growing basket of goods and services.

ere are the list of Pi Network Marketplaces currently available online. Some are still being tested in alpha or beta stages while others like Express Pi are fully  operational. Note that since transferring Pi is not yet possible due to the enclosed mainnet restrictions, Express Pi uses an alternative currency which they call it the TPG credits. They will start accepting Pi as payment when  the restrictions from the eclosed mainnet are lifted.
The list below may subject to change as the number of new online marketplaces willing to accept Pi as a currency is growing. I know for sure that I won’t be able to keep track of  all the online marketplaces that will operate to accept Pi as a currency; not to mention a multitude of offline/physical stores which may soon arise.

As you will notice from the list above, some of the markets’ names are almost identical but they differ from their web addresses and locations. These markets are going to help build the Pi Network economy and as a Pioneer, I think it will greatly help the Pi economy if we will participate by trading goods and services using  Pi.
