PART 3 – Q. What types of local business are there in your neighbourhood? Are there any restaurants, – Studocu

Q. What types of local business are there in your neighbourhood? Are there

any restaurants, shops or dentists for example?

In my neighborhood has many types of business what need in our daily lives. there

are a few shops, hairdressing salons, bookshops, flower shops, bakery, sport and

study centres, seating public food, markets and etc.

Q. Do you think local businesses are important for a neighbourhood? In what

way?

I think that the local business need not only for society but and for economy too.

the local business establish to people jobs in result they can earn one’s living.

Q. How do large shopping malls and commercial centres affect small local

businesses? Why do you think that is?

The emergence of a large company in a small city, especially a manufacturing

company, contributes to the growth of local business focused on serving the

peripheral needs of the company itself. as well as its employees. Local business

creates the necessary service infrastructure, which the company itself, even a large

one, is not able to pull due to the non-core nature of such activities. To create the

most service-repair unit will lead to a rise in costs.

Q. Why do some people want to start their own business?
For some people, starting their own businesses is probably a better choice because
it allows them the freedom to do things and earn their livings at their own pace and
according to their own terms and conditions. Besides, I think that some people are
just too independent-minded to work for others and follow their “orders”. Then, of
course, there is another group of people who are overly “ambitious” and
“calculating”, because of their rare talents, who see the world of financial
opportunities in a certain kind of business that they want to start.

Q. Are there any disadvantages to running a business? Which is the most

serious?

Starting your own business is a good decision, but not always and not for

everyone. Disadvantages of running your own business:

 the risk of failure lies solely with You – you risk not only the company’s
property, but also your personal;
 often irregular income;
 responsible for paying their own taxes and make pension contributions;
 irregular work-often 12 or more hours a day;
 feeling alone in difficult moments;
 problems with motivation to work, and extra effort in the absence of success;
 constantly try to maintain the appropriate level of sales of services or
products;
 you are legally and financially responsible for the actions and omissions of
both your own and your employees;

 frequent changes in legislation and taxation that make it difficult for the
company to operate and require constant monitoring;
 significantly lower pension compared to persons accepted on an
employment contract (at the same height, contributions)

Q. What are the most important qualities that a good business person

needs? Why is that?

To become a good business person, you need to have good knowledge to

successfully cope with the daily difficulties of running a business. A businessman

must also be very polite, well-mannered, attentive and patient, so that he can treat

his clients with the greatest respect, even if they are disobedient and irresponsible.

Finally, a person must be far-sighted, hard-working, purposeful and progressive-

minded to become a good and successful businessman.

The business owner must be completely honest and fair. He must always comply

with the laws and serve his client with the best services and intentions.
