The Beam and Plasma segment engages in the manufacturing, sale, installation, and after-sales service of ion implanters, electron-beam processing systems, and fine coating systems using beam and plasma technology, as well as provides implantation, electron-beam processing, and coating services. The Equipment and Parts Solution segment offers industrial equipment and parts contract manufacturing based on metalworking technologies related to the manufacture of power system equipment; and engages in the development and sale of products that meet needs in the ASEAN region. It also engages in the manufacture and customer service of LSI/LCD manufacturing equipment, irradiation services of electron beams, and high voltage equipment and related equipment, as well as design and sale of computer software. The company engages in the management of design drawings, printing and bookbinding, etc; and manufacturing and sale of power transformers, gas insulated switchgears, current transformers, power capacitors, and gas circuit breakers. The company was founded in 1910 and is headquartered in Kyoto, Japan. Nissin Electric Co.,Ltd. is a subsidiary of Sumitomo Electric Industries Ltd.
