Production used a clip of her talking about something completely different and used it after he told her about his depression to make it seem like that was her reaction. In reality, Miles said she had a better reaction than most of his previous partners. The production company has allowed them to talk about how they edited that scene despite participants contractually not being permitted to discuss the shows editing.

Miles also admitted that he in fact was NOT open with her. He revealed his depression and surface level emotions, but he had guards up with everything else. That’s why Karen said she thought he was putting on a nice guy act….He was. He wanted the marriage to work so badly that he refrained from telling her things about him that he thought she wouldn’t like.

Karen and Miles also made an off camera agreement to not talk about sex on camera. He broke that agreement with the whole sex on the calendar ordeal.

Miles was always asking her before doing anything, but that’s not necessarily what Karen wanted all the time. She wanted to be able to trust him to make decisions for the both of them while also having her best interest at heart. That’s what she meant when saying she wanted someone to be able to take charge.

She also took accountability for using the word “masculinity” when she really meant “be more direct” and “take the lead.”

Production and editing also left out kisses, hugs, gifts she gave him, and how she continued to do those Thai massages they learned from tantric yoga while they were at home.
