Contract Lounges

At airports where neither a Star Alliance branded lounge nor a Star Alliance member carrier offers a lounge, third party lounges are contracted by some of our member airlines. As a Star Alliance Gold customer travelling on a Star Alliance member airlines operated flight from such airports, you may have access to these third party contract lounges. Please refer to the Lounge Finder to identify which lounges you may have access to, according to the policy of each airline*.

*Check the current policy of the airline with which you are travelling.

In order to gain access to such lounges:

  • You will need to show your boarding pass for a flight operated by the Star Alliance member airline that has contracted that lounge.

  • If your boarding pass does not show the Star Alliance Gold indicator, you will need to also show a valid Star Alliance Gold card.

  • You can bring one guest, who must be travelling on the same Star Alliance flight as you.

As an International and Domestic First Class Customer you can access third party contract lounges contracted by the Star Alliance member carrier on which you are travelling and located at the airport from where your flight departs. Please present your First Class boarding pass for a Star Alliance flight operated by a member carrier that has a contract with the lounge. You can bring one guest who must be departing on the same Star Alliance flight as you.

Paid Lounge Membership Customers are not entitled to use contract lounges.

Star Alliance Gold (SAG) Customers travelling on Connecting Partner Flights

As a Star Alliance Gold customer travelling on Connecting Partner Flights in any class of travel as part of an itinerary that involves at least one Star Alliance flight, you may have access to member airline lounges, Connecting Partner Lounges and third party Contract Lounges contracted by the Connecting Partner at the airport where your flight departs. Simply present your boarding pass with the Star Alliance Gold indicator for the Connecting Partner’s flight. If your boarding pass does not show the Star Alliance Gold indicator, you will need to also show a valid Star Alliance Gold card (e.g. digital or physical FFP card) and proof of a connecting itinerary (e.g. their travel itinerary printed or shown on their mobile phone that shows the Connecting Partner operated flight is on a same day itinerary as a member carrier operated flight or a boarding pass from their same day connecting member carrier operated flight). You are entitled to one guest, who must be travelling on the same Connecting Partner Flight as you.

First Class and Star Alliance Gold customers travelling on a Star Alliance or Connecting Partner Flight and Eligible Paid Lounge Membership customers are each entitled to bring one guest into the lounge. The guest must enter the lounge together with the eligible customer and present a boarding pass for a Star Alliance member airline operated flight or Connecting Partner flight departing from the respective airport at the same day. For contract lounges, the guest must be travelling on the same Star Alliance flight as the customer.

The guest entitlement may not be exceeded by the customer entering a lounge on multiple occasions, each time accompanied by a different guest.
