Travel Plans – They are going to Greece at Easter and visiting the Mani Peninsula of the Peloponnese. It’s a perfect place to take children as it really harks back to a simpler time. Travel Plans – Passports and Adventures were to finally go East as a family to visit Thailand and Dubai, but unfortunately, Dad recently broke his leg. So a trip to the States is a possibility later in the year once he has recovered. Meanwhile Mum and son will be visiting Ireland again in August, this time taking in some of the West of Ireland as well as day trips from Dublin.

Who are Passports and Adventures – Catherine is originally from Ireland but now lives in Portugal with her husband, their four-year-old son and their dog. They spent 15 years in the UK, mainly in Wales where their son was born, and are a family that loves to travel. They look for adventure while booking everything themselves. Their travels have taken them to places like New York, Disneyland Paris, Yellowstone National Park and made return trips to Ireland.

Travel Plans – At Easter they are heading to Oman in the Middle East. Oman is a fascinating country with much to offer the family traveller. They will be spending a night in the desert in a traditional Bedouin tent, visiting an animal market which local traders have used for years, swimming along a wadi and hopefully seeing turtles hatching on the beach. All this activity will be followed up by a few lazy days at the beach.

Who are Go Live Young – Nicky is a mum of three who has loved travelling since she herself was a child. After many years of travelling the globe and living abroad she now enjoys exploring the world with her children. As a family of five, with three boys aged 10, 12 and 14, they’ve recently returned from travelling around the world for nine months. Their adventures include trekking with Komodo dragons in Indonesia, to road tripping around New Zealand, and hiking 4444 steps in Norway!

Travel Plans – This year they are visiting Northern Ireland in February half term, with plans to see Game of Thrones locations, Giants Causeway and walk the Carrick-o-Rede bridge. In the summer they are off to Disneyland California to the new Star Wars land and then exploring California from San Diego, LA, Monterey Bay and San Francisco.

Who are Are we nearly there yet – Kara is the author of  , She has three grown up children, aged 25, 21 and 18 and three younger ones, aged 10, 8 and 5, which makes travelling together and finding common ground tricky, but it clearly also adds to the fun. Their blog is a record of all their adventures, near and far and their motto is “Collect Moments, Not Things”. They have a penchant for seeking thrills, whether it be jumping out of planes, hurtling down ziplines or climbing through trees. But they also love to really explore the locations they visit and you will often find them walking miles through the UK countryside.

Travel Plans – Croatia has been on their to-do list for a while now. They have to wait until October to go, however, they can’t wait to explore Istria with their boys. They plan on having a few little breaks away in the UK using their parents’ Motorhome during the school holidays.

Travel Plans – They are heading to Perpignan at Easter to try out the new luxury range of lodges (complete with hot tubs!) on offer from Canvas Holidays. Zoe is climbing Snowdon with some girlfriends in May, with another solo trip to Tignes in the Alps this Summer. Then off to Majorca for a week in August to celebrate her Mum’s 70th.

Who are Juggling on Rollerskates – This blog follows the adventures of Zoe Holland and her family. Based in East Sussex Zoe is a mum, step mum, teacher and local explorer. Zoe and her family are big fans of the outdoors, camping, glamping and festivals. Travel Plans – Their next big travel plan is to head to Washington DC where they have relatives, but they have never visited the area. The family will enjoy a big dose of American history. Jan is especially looking forward to seeing the Lincoln Memorial and the Smithsonian museums. Plus the scenic bike trail up to George Washington’s Mount Vernon estate. Nearby the Maryland coast has picturesque old towns for some relaxation, and if they don’t make it this year then they will surely do it the year after. They are planning to go camping in Yorkshire and take a city break in Birmingham too, to do the Tolkein trail.

Who are Falcondale Life – Jan Falcondale is a photographer and blogger living in North Yorkshire. She has a husband who is a frequent business traveller and two teenage daughters, Fizz and Belle. The family enjoy remote road trips or self-catering holidays by the sea, often taking their bikes along for easy rides out. Their favourite destinations are France, the USA and the UK. Falcondale Life is Jan’s blog about travel, photography and lifestyle as a family with teenagers. She aims to inspire families with older children to take beautiful photos on their adventures, so they get more out of life at home or away.

Travel Plans – They are heading back to Disneyland Paris for the much awaited Star Wars upgrade. It had just closed for refurb the last time they went. Their children are desperate to go back! It’s one of the easiest holidays to travel to with such a large brood, a quick hop across via the tunnel and who doesn’t love Disney! With a new puppy due imminently, they are also hoping to explore more of the Lake District and Wales with some dog-friendly large cottages.

Who is Big Family Adventures – It is written by Mandi and her husband Asa and focuses on family travel and days out for the larger family, which is no surprise as they have seven children aged 5 to 20. Most of their travels are within the UK, although they have taken three trips to Disneyland Paris. They love the outdoors and try to avoid large crowds. The entire family have a love of the theatre and you will find lots of different shows featured on the blog that they have attended, as well as lots of local walks and flasks of tea!

Travel Plans – This year they are travelling full time. They have just ticked off 5 weeks in Indonesia and are now in Singapore with plans to visit Malaysia, Thailand, Loas, Cambodia, Vietnam, South Korea, and China. In August they are leaving from China to go to Europe via Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. They are landing Paris in September and quickly heading to Germany for a week before spending a month in Wales. Come November Wyld family travel are heading for the Balkans to see Greece, Serbia, Albania, Montenegro, Macedonia before heading for Poland for Christmas and New Years.

Who are Wyld Family Travel – It is written by an Australian-based family who travel both domestically in Australia and Internationally. You will find Mark, Bec, Willow and Marley exploring and recording affordable family travel destinations and attractions. What Wyld Family Travel really does well are history and cultural experiences.

Travel Plans – They have some exciting plans for 2019. In spring they are going to see the tulips in Holland. Which is a country they have visited before and always enjoyed immensely. In the summer they are going to the US. Their first stop will be NY and then they will settle for 3 weeks in LA. They have found a home swap there and are hoping to explore it like locals, hitting the beach, some of the city’s museum and hopefully even Universal Studios (they have a 9 year old Harry Potter fan!). They are also going to add a bit of ‘adventure’ with a road trip to Utah. Where they will be visiting Zion National park and Bryce canyon. If they can, they will try and see the Joshua tree, which they have visited already and love.

Who are Learning Escapes – It is a family travel blog about cultural travels with kids and follows the adventures of mum Marta, her husband Philip and their two little explorers (a boy and a girl, ages 8 and 6). They believe holidays are a great opportunity for bonding as a family and all their adventures are about making the most of their time together, making sure it is fun for everyone. On their travels, they mix visits to kid-specific attractions (kids museums etc.) and ‘grown-up’ sites, sharing advice on how to make them fun and educational for the kids.

Travel Plans – They’ve already been skiing in the French Alps and have trips booked to Namibia, the South of France and the UK (yes that’s a trip for them!) The second half of the year is uncertain as they may be moving countries but they’ve already planned in the time to get away. They are hoping to finish the year in Lapland and the UK.

Who are Wanderlust and Wetwipes – Emma started blogging when she became frustrated with seeing Insta-perfect portrayals of family travel. On Wanderlust and Wet Wipes you’ll find a combination of destination-specific guides alongside more general guides for dealing with everything from planning to holiday illnesses to picky eaters. She also documents the tougher sides of travelling. Emma has lived abroad for 7 out of the last 9 years and overall for well over a third of her life. Currently living in the Middle East, she also writes about her experiences there and is passionate about empowering mums of third culture kids.

2020 Travel Plans – In 2020 we will be taking my Mum to Copenhagen for 4 nights to celebrate her 70th birthday. We are also planning a return to Efteling and we have a summer holiday to Wales already booked. If we can find someone to look after our pets we will be going away in February for 2 weeks and we have lots of weekends away in the UK planned.
