Question: Describe a successful business that you know
You should say:
What that business is
How you knew about it
What kind of product/service it offers
And why it is considered successful
I’m very fortunate to be surrounded by friends whose interest is running their own business instead of working for others because they give me so much inspiration to believe in myself and that I can go beyond the limit in achieving my dream as they do.
Let me tell you about one fascinating and environment-friendly business that my dear friend and his family have, which they have been operating for many years now and that’s a recycling business. My friend’s parents started running this business in 1999 in the countryside where they are still living at the moment. According to my friend, during the early years of his parents’ business, his father collected plastic bottles, pieces of paper, cardboard, and metals in every household in the neighborhood. His father bought the recyclable waste of their neighbors for a very cheap price but some declined payment as they were happy that his father collected their waste.
On the other hand, his mother is the one who contacted major recycling companies in the city. They acted as a supplier to different recycling companies. As my friend told me, in the early 2000s this kind of business was not that common yet, as a result, his parents barely had competitors as suppliers, so it was never a surprise that they could really make a fortune from the trash. It was in the year 2008 when his parents decided to establish their own recycling company, as they could already afford to buy the machines needed for recycling. Since then, their business has continued to prosper and they’re able to provide lots of job opportunities to people. The last time I talked to my friend, he told me that he had just taken over his parents’ business since they just retired.
I couldn’t help myself but be inspired by the story of my friend’s family since their business is not only helping people in their community but also the environment and I realized that creativity and perseverance are needed when one wants to start his own business.

Mẫu câu trả lời:
Question: Describe an economic risk
You should say:
What it was like
Where it took place
When it took place
And explain your opinion of it
Well, right at present, whenever you turn on the TV or surf the Internet, you will inevitably see the term “economic risk” appearing repeatedly. It originated last year in America and now is affecting the whole world.
One of the most significant influences it has exerted on our life is the depression in the real estate industry. On the one hand, real estate companies have a lot of apartments and flats for sale. Contrastingly, those who are in urgent need of houses can not afford them.
Another industry which is also suffering from this economic crisis is the stock industry. People lose money in it due to the steady decrease in the price of stock. Consequently, people panic for the sake of it. In addition, the financial crisis also gives rise to an increase in the unemployment rate. A lot of factories cut down on their work forces in order to survive this crisis.
In my point of view, all the governments and individuals should make joint efforts to solve the problem. Our government has been encouraging people to spend money in order to promote economic development. But as an individual, I guess the best policy is to save enough money and try to develop an economical lifestyle.

PART 3

It’s an
intriguing
question. I guess for any strong economy, it should be a balance between saving and earning money. What I mean here is that when citizens buy things, they will contribute a small amount of money to the government so it could
boost
economic growth
.

possessions

accumulation
of material goods are often associated with
prosperity
, sense of happiness and fulfillment in life
- economic indicators
related to production and consumption are used to define the
well-being
and quality of life in societies
-
rising consumption helps people meet their basic needs as well as creates jobs.
-
- What is the relationship between leisure and the economy?
Well, people spend a lot of money on all sorts of leisure activities nowadays, so I assume that leisure plays an essential part of the economy of any country. First of all, leisure could be anything that people do in their free time, such as eating out, going to the cinema, or staying in a hotel. Since millions of people are using these services, they could positively contribute to the economy by purchasing goods which enhance the sales of businesses. Moreover, a lot of people who are employed and earn money in these industries are also
taxpayers
which all
goes back into
the economy.
