Electric/Hybrid – Protean Electric to showcase in-wheel technology at Vienna Motor Symposium – Renewable Energy Magazine, at the heart of clean energy journalism

Tuesday, 26 April 2022

The converted Mercedes E-Class will be equipped with four ProteanDrive Pd18s, delivering 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, and 5,600 Nm of peak torque. The vehicle embodies the power of IWMs to improve electrification.

Currently, IWMs enable faster, more cost effective electrification strategies. In the future ProteanDrive will

dramatically increase available space in vehicle architectures, revolutionising the opportunities for

electric vehicle OEMs to deliver customer value.

“It’s clear that disruptive technologies in the EV space, like ProteanDrive, offer much needed new opportunities to deliver vastly improved electric vehicles” said Andrew Whitehead, CEO of Protean Electric. “We’re thrilled about this opportunity to attend and display our technology at this most prestigious

event. We look forward to engaging with the distinguished audience the Symposium attracts.”

The International Vienna Motor Symposium will be held at the Hofburg Conference Centre in Vienna from 27-29 April 2022. Protean’s demo car will be located on the Heldenplatz.
