    EIA, Electric generator dispatch depends on system demand and the relative cost of operation (August 17, 2012), at http://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.cfm?id=7590 (showing wind and other renewables at the low-cost end of the supply curve).

    EIA, Electric generator dispatch depends on system demand and the relative cost of operation (August 17, 2012), at http://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.cfm?id=7590 (showing typical supply curve, or “generation stack”, and the increasing marginal cost (or variable operating cost) of generation).

    Electric generator lessors are therefore prohibited from soliciting or engaging in business in PWC’s service territory pursuant to the North Carolina Distributed Resources Access Act (please refer to North Carolina Session Law 2017-192 and N.C.G.S. § 62-126.1, et seq., for additional information).

    Electric generator interconnection service does not include, without limitation, the purchase or sale of the output of the electric generator , station service, back-up power, the delivery of the output of the electric generator , nor any form of the supply or delivery of electricity to the Interconnection Customer.

    Electric generator interconnection service does not include, without limitation, the purchase or sale of the output of the electric generator , station service, back-up power, the delivery of the output of the electric generator , nor any form of the supply or delivery of electricity to the Customer.

    Electric generator interconnection service includes only the ability to interconnect an electric generator to the Company’s facilities.

  • Electric generating unit means an individual electric generator and its associated plant and apparatus whose electrical output is capable of being separately identified and metered. Emergency Condition shall mean a condition or situation: (1) that in the judgment of the Party making the claim is imminently likely to endanger life or property; or (2) that, in the case of the CAISO, is imminently likely (as determined in a non-discriminatory manner) to cause a material adverse effect on the security of, or damage to, the CAISO Controlled Grid or the electric systems of others to which the CAISO Controlled Grid is directly connected; (3) that, in the case of the Participating TO, is imminently likely (as determined in a non-discriminatory manner) to cause a material adverse effect on the security of, or damage to, the Participating TO’s Transmission System, Participating TO’s Interconnection Facilities, Distribution System, or the electric systems of others to which the Participating TO’s electric system is directly connected; or

  • Electric generation service means the provision of retail

  • Generator means a device that produces electricity.

  • Electric utility steam generating unit means any steam electric generating unit that is constructed for the purpose of supplying more than one-third of its potential electric output capacity and more than 25 MW electrical output to any utility power distribution system for sale. Any steam supplied to a steam distribution system for the purpose of providing steam to a steam-electric generator that would produce electrical energy for sale is also considered in determining the electrical energy output capacity of the affected facility.

  • electric line means any line which is used for carrying electricity for any purpose and includes –

  • Electric bicycle means a “class 1 electric bicycle”, a “class 2 electric bicycle”, or a “class 3 electric bicycle” as defined in this section. (ORC 4511.01(RRR))

  • Co-generation means the sequential production of electricity

  • Emergency generator means any generator of which the sole function is to provide emergency backup power during an interruption of electrical power from the electric utility. An emergency generator does not include:

  • X-ray high-voltage generator means a device which transforms electrical energy from the potential supplied by the x-ray control to the tube operating potential. The device may also include means for transforming alternating current to direct current, filament transformers for the x-ray tube(s), high-voltage switches, electrical protective devices, and other appropriate elements.

  • Customer-generator means a residential or commercial customer that owns (or leases or contracts) and operates an electric generating facility that: (a) has a capacity of not more than 1000 kilowatts; (b) uses renewable resources, cogeneration, fuel cells, or microturbines; (c) is located on the customer’s premises; (d) is interconnected with the Electric Company’s transmission and distribution facilities; and(e) is intended primarily to offset all or part of the customer’s own electricity requirements.

  • Waste generator means any owner or operator of a source covered by this section whose act or process produces asbestos-containing waste material.

  • Electric System means all electrical wires, equipment, and other facilities owned or provided by the utility that are used to transmit electricity to customers.

  • Electric System Upgrades means any Network Upgrades, Distribution Upgrades, or Interconnection Facilities that are determined to be necessary by the CAISO or Participating Transmission Owner, as applicable, to physically and electrically interconnect the Project to the Participating Transmission Owner’s electric system for receipt of Energy at the Point of Interconnection (as defined in the CAISO Tariff) if connecting to the CAISO Grid, or the Interconnection Point, if connecting to a part of the Participating TO’s electric system that is not part of the CAISO Grid.

  • wind turbine generator or “WTG” means a structure comprising a tower, rotor with three blades connected at the hub, nacelle and ancillary electrical and other equipment which may include J-tube(s), transition piece, access and rest platforms, access ladders, boat access systems, corrosion protection systems, fenders and maintenance equipment, helicopter landing facilities and other associated equipment, fixed to a foundation;

  • embedded generator means a generator who is not a market participant and whose generation facility is connected to a distribution system of a distributor, but does not include a generator who consumes more electricity than it generates;

  • Electric Facility means a Generator or an electric transmission facility.

  • Hydroelectric energy means water used as the sole source of energy to produce electricity.

  • Useful thermal energy means, with regard to a cogeneration unit, thermal energy that is:

  • Electrical equipment means underground equipment that contains dielectric fluid that is necessary for the operation of equipment such as transformers and buried electrical cable.
