Custom Labels
You can get custom stickers in any shape or size from us, here are a few recommendations to consider when designing them;
- Try and keep the shape of the sticker as basic as possible, really intricate and detailed edge designs can cause you to take extra care when peeling them from their wax backing sheet.
- When designing stickers, make sure add a contour cut around the logo which can be used by our presses to cut-out your design.
- To achieve a perforation across your label, simply add a dotted line on your cutter file and we’ll take care of the rest. Useful when designing tamper proof labels for jars and other containers. A micro perforation will do this. We recommend a 0.5pt dotted line for perforations.

Supplying your artwork
Clients should supply high quality artwork for their personalised stickers in one of three ways, either upload your artwork with the order on the product page or simply design it online.
If you are designing for custom shape labels you’ll need to supply a vector file in PDF format. You’ll need to include a cutter guide so we know where to cut your labels and stickers.
What are your advantages?
Your main advantage is that you are creating something unique. A custom label will stand out even more with a unique design when compared to a standard size or shaped label.
You’ll also able to tailor the size of the label to the content that is required on it. Wasted space on labels costs money, choosing your own dimensions to fit your content will save you costs in the long run.
Increase your bottom line by ensuring you create labels that fit precisely the content provided on them.
Get perfect results with your custom labels & stickers
Tying to get the perfect result for your product labelling can be quite a challenge. It’s often difficult to find label printers that will print vinyl labels to your exact requirements.
Many sticker printers will use off the shelf cutting dies, but this restricts you to certain sizes in their library. If you require a different size, then they’ll charge you for the manufacturing of a new cutting die.
So if for instance you have many different products with varying space for a label, it suddenly becomes very costly. Dies run anywhere from £100 to thousands depending on how complicated the cut needs to be.
How we produce your custom labels & stickers
Here at Stickythings Ltd we print & cut your custom labels digitally. This means that we don’t have the expensive manufacturing fees for cutting dies and we can instantly cut to your specific shape and size.
If you get the size slightly wrong the first time, we can simply amend the cutter guide layer on the artwork and get them perfect. It’s that easy.
We also offer a hard copy service where you can order a minimum run, often only £15 and see what the actual labels will look like prior to ordering a larger print run. This is ideal for photo shoots and prototypes where cost is a major factor.
