Chief Business Officer

Purpose
The Chief Business Officer will be a major contributor in the strategic development and shaping the success of TOLREMO therapeutics. He/she will work closely with the CEO, leadership team and the Board of Directors to drive all business aspects of further evolution of the company. Specifically, the CBO will be responsible for all operational aspects of the company, including corporate and business development activities, strategic planning, budget development and control, commercial input into clinical development, as well as support investor relationships and fundraising.

Responsibilities
– work closely with the CEO and members of the leadership team and Board of Directors to define TOLREMO’s corporate vision and strategy for longrange planning, including corporate development and partnering strategy
– build corporate structure of our growing business (including HR, IT, compliance, and finance) and develops the company culture with the CEO
– negotiate significant company contracts, deals and financings
– support IR/PR activities and fund-raising activities
– design an executive business roadmap of potential business opportunities, including internal and external development programs, and financing opportunities
– develop and control the annual budget
– lead external innovation opportunities (with academia and industry) to expand commercial opportunity of drug candidates
– cultivate a strong and effective partnership with R&D and clinical development teams to evaluate the potential new therapies and to integrate a commercial perspective early in the research and development process
– participate in the development of strategic partnerships, joint ventures and alliances, as well as platform technology and intellectual licensing opportunities
– commercial input into clinical development and biomarker programs
– monitor competitive intelligence by keeping up to date on market trends, competitors and opportunities

Requirements
– entrepreneurial background; previous C-level experience in biotech
– fund-raising expertise (front line) or at least very closely with CEO/CFO
– industry experience in BD&L and/or project management
– excellent industry and investor network
– PhD/MBA and combinations thereof
– excellent communication skills
