CHEAP or CONVENIENT? This is the question…
The “CHEAP” product is in the collective imagination, the one that has as its main feature the minimization of costs ; which involves little expenditure of money and therefore should save. The cheapest article tracking has become an ambition of many, so much so that it turns out to be one of the first search adjectives in google ads.
The propensity of the user to the cheap is really significant because you know: what you don’t spend stays in your pocket…. But is it really this?
Then there is the product CONVENIENT, which is not really a synonym of first price, indeed if we go to analyze the meaning of the word we understand immediately that it is something different.
Convenient comes from the Latin cum- together with venio- to come, thus evokes the image of something approaching, and joining, two roads that meet and continue together, two rivers that converge in one. It brings us back to the idea of something that comes close to us and adapts to our needs by becoming appropriate and advantageous.
In a broader concept and in relation to the product, convenience is therefore advantage that it draws not so much from the price as from the use of that particular item for how it was built.
For this reason, going down in our specific field a cheap kitchen roll, costs very little but it is not a guarantee in the result of not needing more consumption for the specific use.
The convenient roll instead allows a more advantageous cost in use, since studied according to the needs without waste.
With this philosophy have been studied the products of the range Defendo® by Eco Silver Paper® which have an extremely qualifying content for the retailer and CONVENIENT for the user.
We can therefore say that our products guarantee not only HYGIENE and PROTECTION but also maximum CONVENIENCE.
In the cleaning market these concepts are often debated by professionals, for example the concentrated detergent product requires a higher investment than a super-dilute but allows, in terms of cost in use, evident savings: use of a smaller quantity of product to obtain a better result.
This also happens for paper products. A cheap kitchen roll, is usually produced with a sheet with small dimensions and a light grammage, and it has a very low price but does it gives a guarantee of results? How many sheets would we need for the specific use?
The dimensions can be deceptive and the risk is to buy “water” for the chemists or “air” for the paper … if the product is cheap, in the majority of cases, there is a reason!
Behind the convenient product there is an in-depth analysis of the use, consumption, of the raw material necessary to optimally perform the function for which the product is created.
