  • Business Travel Policy means our business travel policy. A copy of our current Business Travel Policy is attached as Schedule 1 to Exhibit B.

  • Business Transaction means any sale (whether in one or a series of transactions) of any portion of the assets of, or the capital stock of any entity comprising, one or more of the Businesses, any merger, joint venture, partnership, spin-off, reverse spin-off, non-pro rata spin-off or other business combination involving one or more of the Businesses, or any recapitalization, restructuring or liquidation of one or more of the Businesses or any other form of transaction or disposition that results, directly or indirectly, in the effective sale, transfer or other disposition of ownership or control over any portion of one or more of the Businesses, in each case, (x) whether or not involving the sale of any assets or businesses of the Company or its direct or indirect subsidiaries other than the Businesses (such assets or businesses, “Other Assets”) and (y) other than a Wholeco Transaction.

In order to determine whether or not a firm meets the above economic size definitions, the Agency will use the firm’s three most recent business tax returns (i.e., 1040 with Schedule C for Sole Proprietorships, 1065s with K-1s for Partnerships, and 1120s for Corporations). Once a business reaches the 3-year average size threshold for the applicable industry the business ceases to be economically disadvantaged, it is not an eligible SBE and it will not be counted towards meeting SBE contracting requirements (or goals).

  • MINORITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (MBE means an individual, partnership, corporation or joint venture of any kind that is owned and controlled by U. S. Citizens and residents of Ohio, who are and have held themselves out as members of the following socially and economically disadvantaged groups: Blacks, American Indians, Hispanics and Asians. Only businesses certified by the State of Ohio Equal Opportunity Division in accordance with Section 123.151 of the Ohio Revised Code shall be recognized as being MBE certified within the purpose of this invitation.

  • Small Business Enterprise means a for profit small business concern that is at least fifty one percent (51%) owned by one (1) or more individual(s) who are economically disadvantaged. “Economically Disadvantaged Individual” is defined in Appendix B-1, Definitions, in Notice of Requirements for Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Program.

This includes children and youth who are sharing the housing of other persons due to loss of housing, economic hardship or a similar reason, living in motels, parks or campgrounds; or children or youth who have a primary nighttime residence that is a public or private place not designed for or ordinarily used as a sleeping accommodation by human beings; or children or youth living in cars, abandoned buildings or substandard housing or similar situations; or migratory children because they are living in circumstances like those described above. “Substandard housing” may be determined by considering factors such as whether the setting in which the child or youth is living lacks water, electricity or heat; is infested with vermin or mold; lacks a working kitchen or toilet, or presents unreasonable dangers to adults, children or persons with disabilities. Cities, counties and states have varying housing codes that further define housing deemed substandard by law.

  • Veteran-owned Small Business Enterprise (VSBE) means A business that is verified by the Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs as a veteran-owned small business. See Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) 21.11.13.

  • Home health aide services means the personal care and maintenance activities provided to individuals for the purpose of promoting normal standards of health and hygiene.

  • Women Business Enterprise (WBE) as used in this policy means a business enterprise that meets all of the following criteria:

  • Medical cannabis card means the same as that term is defined in Section 26-61a-102.

  • Business enterprise means a firm, sole proprietorship, partnership, association, corporation, company, or other business entity of any kind including, but not limited to, a limited liability corporation, incorporated professional association, joint venture, estate, or trust.

  • Air Travel means travel by an airline/aircraft for the purpose of flying therein as a passenger.

  • Universal Digital Loop Carrier (UDLC means the DLC system that has a CO terminal channel bank that is connected to the CO switches on the analog side.

  • Medical Foods means any nutritional substances in any form that are:

  • Homecare Worker means a provider, as described in OAR 411-031- 0040, that is directly employed by a consumer to provide either hourly or live-in services to the eligible consumer.

  • Academies Financial Handbook means the document with that title published by the EFA and amended from time to time, on behalf of the Secretary of State.
