Jeff Metcalf Internship Program provides 3,000 paid substantive internships to students each year across a variety of career fields. Careers in Business works closely with employers in consulting, finance, branding and marketing, and across the corporate landscape to offer Metcalf internships for students.
Structured Program Opportunities
The programs below offer additional resources to undergraduates of all majors who wish to support their interest in a business career, alongside a community of like-minded peers, with specialized advising, programming, and additional coursework.
Trott Business Program
The Trott Business Program is a selective, three-year program that prepares students for leadership in business across a variety of industries. Students benefit from personalized advising with industry experts, weekly professional development workshops, and coursework at Chicago Booth. Participants receive a transcript designation at graduation upon completing program requirements, including attendance at weekly workshops, completion of Financial Accounting and one other Booth course each for a letter grade, and a cumulative GPA of 3.0. Program members have full-time job placements at or near 100% each year.
Financial Markets Program
The Financial Markets Program is a selective admission program that supports students interested in quantitative finance careers. Participants complete a three-year curriculum that includes technical trainings, internship and recruiting support, and hands-on experiential learning opportunities such as the annual UChicago Trading Competition. Participants completing program requirements receive a transcript designation at graduation.
Trott Emerging Business Leaders Program
Trott Emerging Business Leaders is a one-year immersive program for first-year students who are ambitious about launching careers in business. Students benefit from personalized career advising, professional development workshops, and a funded internship in the summer after their first year. Learn more about the program.

College students who are considering an MBA in the future are encouraged to apply for the Chicago Booth Scholars Program, which allows students to apply for MBA admission during their final year of undergraduate study and defer enrollment at Chicago Booth for two to four years while they gain professional experience.
