That’s really about as low of minimum specs as it gets. However, if you want to get a higher framerate, or you don’t have a computer that can meet those specs, in this guide, we’ll list three different PC builds that can easily run Fortnite.

So, if you absolutely don’t want to build a PC, those will be the better option for you—although, you won’t get as much performance for the price you pay.

$400 Cheap Gaming PC for Fortnite

For just $400 you can build a gaming computer that can run Fortnite on lower-to-medium settings with ~40-50 FPS on a cheap 1080P monitor. That’s pretty darn good for just $400!

This entry-level Fortnite gaming PC comes with an Intel Core i3-10100F processor and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 graphics card. It also comes with 8GB of RAM, a 240GB SSD, a decent budget-friendly case, and a 500W power supply that will be powerful enough to handle an upgrade to a mid-range graphics card in the future.

Obviously, this isn’t the best gaming computer in the world. But, if you are working with a bare minimum budget, you may not have another option. And, while it won’t max out today’s top titles on a 1080P monitor, at least it will get your feet in the door and allow you easily run games like Fortnite, Minecraft, League of Legends, Rocket League, etc.

And, upgrading it won’t be difficult, either, as all you’ll need to do to turn this into a mid-range gaming computer that can run any game on higher settings (on a 1080P monitor) would be to, first upgrade the graphics card and then, second, the memory to 16GB and the processor to an Intel Core i5 or i7.

Overall, this $400 PC build is perfect for anyone who just needs a system that can run Fortnite on lower-to-medium settings with decent framerates.

$500 Gaming PC for 60 FPS in Fortnite

While $500 may not sound like a lot for a gaming computer, the reality is that, for 1080P gaming, $500 will get you a pretty powerful PC build. If you’re willing to build your own computer, the $500 worth of components listed below will easily run Fortnite on higher settings on a 1080P monitor at a high framerate.

This $500 gaming PC will also run any game out there on 1080P monitor on at least medium settings. So, while $500 might not seem like a lot of money, the truth is that it is all you need to build a solid 1080P gaming PC.

The build comes with an Intel Core i3-10100F processor and an RX 6500 XT 4GB graphics card. It also has 8GB of memory, a 500GB SSD, a decent-looking micro-ATX case, and a 500W power supply.

For future upgrade potential, you could turn this $500 gaming PC in to a high-end gaming computer by upgrading the processor to an Intel Core i7 and the graphics card to a tier 1 GPU (which would also require a power supply upgrade).
