Another investment certificate handed to Furukawa Automotive Systems Viet Nam Inc | BEN TRE PROVINCE

On December 12, 2008, a new investment certificate was handed by the Industrial Parks Authority of Ben Tre Province to Furukawa Automotive Systems Viet Nam Inc., the Japanese investor. The Japanese industrial company is investing in a project to produce electrical wire systems for automobile. The factory, which is estimated to cost totally US$16 mln, is planned to sit on a land area of 35,400 square metres in the Giao Long Industrial Park to produce 3,600,000 products a year. The factory construction is planned to be started in January, finished in September and put into operation in November, 2009. Once gone into operation, the Furukawa factory will need up to 3,000 workers to fill its production lines.

At the certificate handing ceremony, Mr Nguyen Thai Xay, Chairman of Ben Tre’s People’s Committee, praised the Furukawa Automotive Systems Viet Nam Inc’s production capability, and promised to facilitate the best for the company to success in Ben Tre.
