About Us – AmCon Ham Radio Network
Ham radio with a purpose!
The AmCon Ham Radio Network (AHRN) is a gathering place for American Contingency members to collaborate on all things related to ham radio and communications.
American Contingency (AmCon) is a nation-wide network of people and teams that work together so they and their communities will be better prepared for any emergency.AmCon teams work to build their expertise areas that are important in a crisis – like medical, mobility, and personal security, and communications. AHRN operates as the communications element of AmCon.
The AmCon Ham Radio Network has three goals:
- Provide reliable, nationwide Alternate, Contingency, and Emergency communication capability for members
- Provide communication expertise for all levels of operations
- Support communications and signal operations at each level of the organization
By joining this community, you will have access to tools, resources and people who help each other learn, grow and become better prepared.
Communicating is important, but is sometimes put on the back burner when planning for natural or man-made emergencies.
Now is the time to act to improve your radio communications skills!
We welcome all skill levels. We have resources to help you along the way and free online training courses for AmCon members.
To join AHRN, you must be a member of American Contingency. Once you sign up, navigate to the Ham Radio Network group and join.
