Additionally, we’ve made the shortlist of hidden wonderkids and gems available to download below, which let’s you discover further 50 talents which can become a great bargain. These promising talents has all in common that they are somewhere off in terms of their abilities and will require closer attention and more match experience to reach their full potential.

Daniel Quiñónes, América de Cali

Following in the path of Santagio Arias and Juan Cuadrado there’s a new youngster breaking through in the Colombian Liga BetPlay DIMAYOR.
Daniel Quiñónes is a 20 year old wingback playing for América de Cali and who shares some similarities with Juan Cuadrado and could be a great bargain in Football Manager 2020.

Daniel Quiñónes stands out for his quickness, work rate and stamina and should be able to run up and down the right flank as an supporting wing back or complete wing back. What particularly caught my attention was his vision, anticipation and first touch meaning he’s a well suited player for any teams who enjoys playing a possession based system.

In my save the player with a value of €77K was quickly picked up by A.C. Milan for only €1.3Mill and should have the potential to reach the standard of mid-table clubs Premier League clubs or play in any other of the top divisions in the world.

Notable Attributes: Anticipation, Vision, First Touch, Agility

Potential Rating: Three and half Stars

Brahima Ouattara, RC Abidjan

Looking for the best wonderkid bargain in Football Manager 2020, Brahima Ouattara comes very close to claiming the title. The attacking midfielder of Ivorian decent should be available for under €200K and was quickly snapped up by Vitoria (aka Eibar B) in Spain. The 20 year old might not have the current ability to fit into the first team immediately, but has lots of potential to reach international level.

Brahima Ouattara is another technical gifted midfielder with great vision to create chances and play in others. His dribbling abilities and flair makes him into a player capable of trying tricks and using his unpredictability to penetrate the opposite defensive block, no matter it is by moving with the ball or passing it around.

The attacking midfielder could become a great shadow striker as he features great finishing, acceleration and pace.

Notable Attributes: Dribbling, Technique, Flair, Vision, Teamwork

Potential Rating: Four Stars

José Juan Macias, Chivas

In Mexico we find another wonderkid waiting to be snapped up by the major European clubs. Bought from Léon by Chivas for €5Mill on New Years Eve 2019, the now 20 year old striker has scored 8 goals in 18 appearances in the Liga MX this season making him one of the top 10 strikers in Mexico.

The forward has already been called up to the Mexican National team, where he’s scored 4 goals in 5 appearances. In FM20, the central forward could be described as a typical goalscorer in the likes of Chicharito. He’s fairly consistent and should be clinical in front of the goal with his determination and movement.

What separates Chicharito and Macias is their vision and technical skills. While Chicharito is the definition of a Poacher, José Juan Macias can also play as an Inside Forward or Advanced Forward as he’s better with the ball at his feet, creating chances as well as finishing them off.

What grabbed my attention is his acceleration, pace and unpredictability. He likes to shoot from distance and prefers to place the shots which makes him a likely IF-A.

The Mexican forward might be difficult to lure away from Chivas and might be a costly transfer. If he’s coming to a club with superb training facilities and continue his development he might exceed the reputation of Chicharito and become the best Mexican striker in the history.

Notable Attributes: Finishing, Flair, Long Shots, Determination, Off the ball, Passing

Potential Rating: Four and half Stars

Tamar Svetlin, Domzale

Let’s leave South and North America for a bit and move to the other region famed for bargain hunting. I’m talking about Eastern Europe where we find a promising talent from Slovenia.

Tamar Svetlin might not be THE player which immediately grabs your attention but could become the next playmaker to emerge from Easter Europe. The 18 year old central midfielder could be regarded as a great bargain as he’s available for around €500K to €1Mill.

Tamar Svetlin is currently captain for the Slovenian Under-19 National team and have played consecutive matches in the Slovenian Prva Liga for NK Domzale becoming one of the youngest players in the league. The technical gifted midfielder stands out for his playmaking abilities and could be become the new Rene Krhin who has played both in Italy, Spain and now France.

Notable Attributes: Passing, Technique, First Touch, Vision, Dribbling
Hidden Attributes: Consistency, Adaptability

Potential Rating: Three and half Stars

Marco Brescianini, AC Milan

Marco Brescianini is one of many players who have seen a major upgrade in the latest winter transfer update. The 20 year old versatile midfielder has not yet to debut for AC Milan but plays in the Youth league Primavera 2A. With 6 goals in 12 appearances and 2 assists, the Italian wonderkid has caught the attention from the media after a surprising hat trick within an internal friendly between the first team and the youths.

The youngster, who’s currently knocking on the door to break through in 2020, stands out for his physic and quickness as well as his skills using the ball in possession to play through others and create chances. He got the ability to not only play as a deep lying playmaker but also as a box to box midfielder being a threat from distance with his great long shots and movements from deep.

In FM20, Marco Brescianini, has the potential to become a world class player if he’s given match experience at a higher level than the AC Milan Primavera. The promising talent is highly rated by AC Milan and it might demand some millions to lure him away from Il Rossoneri.

Notable Attributes: Work Rate, Technique, Long Shots, Versatility, Natural Fitness

Potential Rating: Four and half Stars

Bubacarr Kebbeh, Accra Lions

Coming across African wonderkids in Football Manager 2020 is harder. Not only due to how few they are compared to wonderkids from Europe, Argentine or Brazil, but the issue with loading a huge database with almost every nation playable.

Bubacarr Kebbeh is one of these wonderkids which might not be visible in an instance in every save, another is Ivorian attacking midfielder Parfait Guiagon.

Labelled as one of the biggest talents in Gambia, Bubacarr Kebbeh joined Accra Lions in Ghana in January 2019. The 19 year old central midfielder, is one of the players who get immediately swooped up at the start of first season and is available for under €200K. You need to act fast if you should acquire him.

He stands out first and foremost for his sublime free-kicks but is also great at putting the ball in the back of the net from long shots. His teamwork, decisions, passing and determination makes him into a great player who can develop into one of the best playmakers in Football Manager 2020 with careful attention.

Notable Attributes: Free-kick taking, Passing, Long Shots, Determination, Decisions

Potential Rating: Three and half Stars

Facundo Pellistri, Peñarol

Another place to look for hidden gems are Uruguay. Facundo Pellistri is an 18 year old right winger who received his first team debut for Peñarol at the 15th of February. In the 90th minute he set up Jesús Trindade and helped the team win 2-1 against CA Cerro.

The winger stands out for his crossing abilities and off the ball movements. He’s a constant threat to the opposition defensive line with his acceleration and pace, and his artistry with the ball makes him able to get out of the tiniest spaces.

In FM20 he’s rated as a technical winger with high work rate. Valued at €1.2Mill, the promising talent might not be available for any less than €2Mill, which is fairly cheap as he might become a great player in any of the top 5 leagues.

Notable Attributes: Crossing, Dribbling, Flair, Acceleration, Technique, Work Rate

Potential Rating: Three and half Stars

Ravil Tagir, Altinordu

If I should put attention to a hidden wonderkid under the age of 18 which you can pretty much develop into your own liking, Turkey got a host of promising talents. Apart from striker Fehmi Koc, attacking midfielders Ömer Beyaz and Mustafa Kapı, Ravil Tagir has really caught my attention.

The 16 year old central defender stands out for his determination and teamwork abilities. He has got great first touch and passing which makes him a good candidate as a ball playing defender. He’s defensive stats are well rounded with decent positioning, concentration and composure for such a young age.

The player is also fairly quick and got great vision. I can’t help to draw similarities to Gerard Pique as he’s so composed with the ball and immediately close down the opponent or moves up to limit the space for him.

Ravil Tagir is not an unknown name for the Turkish FM fans since he’s already played 21 matches for the first team of Altinordu and got his debut for the Under-21 Turkish National team already in September 2019 against England. The 182cm tall centre back born in 2003 in Schambyl, Kazakhstan, has already caught the interest of bigger clubs as Juventus, Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City and Norwich tracks his development.

Notable Attributes: Tackling, Composure, First Touch, Technique, Teamwork, Determination

Potential Rating: Four Stars

Ousmane Diakité, Altach (RB Salzburg)

Exequiel Palacios has been one who have received lots of attention in FM20. A player who exceeds the potential of the new Bayer Leverkusen star is Ousmane Diakité. Currently at loan at SCR Altach from Red Bull Salzburg, the Malian defensive midfielder is a rising talent in Austrian Bundesliga.

Ousmane Diakité is a speedy playmaker who’s better in position than regaining it. Despite he needs to work on his tackling and marking, he
could be re-trained into a central midfielder playing in a more advanced position than holding in front of the centre backs.

He stands out for his anticipation, teamwork and work rate as well as his technique, first touch and agility which makes him able to play in others, constantly make himself available for a pass by moving into spaces.

He’s a superb signing for any sides and can be the perfect for playing a fluid 4-2-3-1 DM.

Notable Attributes: Determination, Anticipation, Quickness, Technique, Teamwork, Work Rate

Potential Rating: Four Stars

Facundo Mura, Estudiantes (LP)

Heard of Juan Miranda or Tyrell Malacia? Facundo Mura is the Argentine version who’s currently breaking through in the Superliga. In difference to the two, Facundo Mura is a versatile right full back who can also play as an defensive winger.

Currently, the 20 year old full-back is valued at €2.3Mill (in FM20) and have recorded 10 appearances for Estudiantes in Argentine Superliga (in RL). He stands out for his defensive capabilities and technical skills.

Compared to the others in this article, Facundo Mura is a fairly expensive player who might be available between €5-10Mill but comes with a fairly low wage demands compared to his potential.

The talented Argentine U23 national team player stands out for his ability to intercept passes and read the game well. Couple that with his positioning, decisions and concentration and you got a player who will withstand from making many costly mistakes in the defensive third. Let a more attacking winger be in front of him and you get defensive solidity by utilizing him at the FB-D role.

Notable Attributes: Determination, Positioning, Teamwork, Marking, Tackling

Potential Rating: Four Stars
