Hero Arts Blog Hop: Summer Catalog

I am only sharing a few of the new products being released today, you can see the full release here. I was so inspired by the new products from Hero Arts I made a bunch of cards to share with you. Let’s get started!

Card Details:

For this card, I stamped and die-cut the Color Layering Orca with Distress Oxide inks (Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean, and Tumbled Glass).

I then created an inky background with Salvaged Patina Distress Spray Stain on some Distress White Heavystock. Next, I stamped the school of fish with Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide.

For the sentiment, I cut my own banner and cut the edge with the same stitched rectangle I used for the card panel. I ink blended another A2 panel with Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink and matted the card on there. Lastly, I added some iridescent sequins here and there.

Card Details:

For these cards, I used the new Barrel Wave HeroScape. This one is so easy to stamp, and I just love how it looks! I used Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide inks. I then masked the waves to ink blend the sky using regular Distress Ink (Picked Raspberry, Kitsch Flamingo, Spiced Marmalade and Squeezed Lemonade).

Then, using Versafine Onyx Black ink I stamped the surfers and sentiments. So fun!! I added some iridescent confetti to each of the cards for a little sparkle. I matted each of the cards on different colored cardstock snd I just love how it really changes the feel of the card.

Card Details:

For this last set of cards, I used the new Hero Lifestyle RBG along with the previously released Lifestyle Forms die. Omgosh you guys, I had so much fun creating these little RBG’s – SO FUN!

I cut the body form and hair out of Neenah cardstock, and colored them with Copics. I then cut her robe, shoes, and glasses out of black cardstock. Her collar and crown are out of sparkle cardstock.

I dug out my typewriter and typed up some of RBG’s quotes that I really like. I also cut out “RBG” out of gold sparkle cardstock with Lawn Fawn’s Oliver ABCs. I filled in her shoes with a black glaze pen to give them a little shine.

I can see myself making a lot of these cards and sending them to all of my strong girlfriends for a little encouragement.
