YouTube TV & MLB Network Continue Negotiations | Cord Cutters News

With just a few weeks left until the start of the MLB season, many YouTube TV subscribers are wondering if the MLB Network will return before it starts. Back in January, YouTube TV and the MLB Network failed to reach a deal, and MLB Network was removed from YouTube TV.

The good news is YouTube TV has repeatedly stated that they are still in talks with the MLB Network. In statements posted on Twitter, YouTube said, “we understand how frustrating the news was & it wasn’t the outcome we wanted. We’ll continue conversations w/ the MLB Network in the hope of restoring their content on YouTube TV in the future.”

At issue here is the price hike MLB Network wants. Details have not been disclosed, but both sides have said they hope to reach a deal.

The good is MLB fans are not locked into a long-term contract with YouTube TV. Cord cutters can still stream the MLB Network live on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, and other compatible devices with a subscription to DIRECTV STREAM, fuboTV, Sling TV, and Vidgo.
