“Windows cannot access \\Client\C$ … You do not have permission to access…” when trying to open file located on client device
User opens a Controller function (for example ‘Transfer – External Data – Import from Flat Files’) which allows the user to browse for a file. User browses to their local hard drive (for example their laptop’s C: drive). User receives an error message.
Network Error Windows cannot access \\Client\C$ You do not have permission to access \\Client\C$. Contact your network administrator to request access
When the user first starts using the Citrix client, they are asked if they agree to give the Citrix client access to their local hard drives:

Resolving The Problem
Reconfigure the end user’s PC, so that the Citrix client is configured to allow ‘read and write‘ access.
