When you try to add a listing for your company, you might find that Google already has information about your business. Alternatively, another user may have suspended your company’s listing; in that case, it will stop showing up on Google Maps. In either case, you can take over and increase visibility by claiming the listing. To do so, log in to your account, enter your company’s contact number and edit your listing details as needed. At that point, you’ll need to verify your listing to confirm that you are the owner. Google enables you to request a verification code by text message to your business phone or by standard mail to your business address. After you receive the code, you can enter it on the website to complete the claiming process.
