Description

“Hole in the wall” is one of the newest game shows to find its way from Japan to American shores. Two groups of contestants, usually comprised of various family members, are pitted against one another to see who will be the victors. But the other contestants aren’t the only obstacles here.

In a series of rounds, each team must face large breakaway walls that have various shapes cut out of them. The contestants must hold almost snapshot perfect poses in hopes of passing through where points are awarded for every successful team member that does so. Some require one, two, or all three contestants. If they can’t get through their shape in time, the conveyer belt moving obstacle pushes them off their platform, drenching them in the waiting pool of water.

What’s more challenging is the fact that contestants have no idea what shapes or poses they’ll be facing until the timer starts and the wall approaches. Will it be a square? A circle? An outline of a person standing on one leg? Each and every unique wall forces contestants to use their wits and flexibility in order to gain enough points in the end to ultimately be the victors.

Hole in the Wall is a series that is currently running and has 3 seasons (60 episodes). The series first aired on September 7, 2008.
