WWE Network moving to Peacock, slashing cost: How to get a free trial and subscribe

The WWE Network is moving to the streaming service Peacock on Thursday, March 18.

This is great news for wrestling fans, who will save as much as $5 per month with the move. Previously, the WWE Network cost $9.99 per month while offering only content related to World Wrestling Entertainment. However, as part of Peacock, much of the same content will be available for as little as $4.99, depending on the package, with the added bonus of Peacock’s massive library of streaming material.

The official press release mentions that March 18 will be the “beginning” of adding the WWE Network to Peacock, implying that all content might not immediately be transferred at launch. It is currently unclear how long this process will take, however the WWE notes their popular pay-per-view broadcasts will be on Peacock, starting with “WWE Fastlane” on Sunday, March 21.

Wrestlemania 37, WWE’s biggest two-day event of the year, also will stream on Peacock on April 10 and April 11. (You can sign up for Peacock here.)

Other subscription features include original series like “Steve Austin Broken Skull Sessions,” in-ring shows like “NXT” and “NXT UK,” archives of past pay-per-view events and various documentaries.

As for the WWE Network itself, the standalone service won’t shut down until April 4. For those who already subscribe to the service, it will not automatically transfer over to Peacock.

Peacock offers a seven-day free trial when you sign up for a paid subscription. However, acknowledging the complications of the switch, Peacock is offering a 50% discount to WWE fans until April 9.

Normally, Peacock costs $4.99 per month, with an option to upgrade to an ad-free package for $9.99 per month. With the current special offer, though, you can pay a one-time $9.99 fee for an entire 4 months of Peacock that will eventually roll over into a standard $4.99 subscription.
