Upcoming Tesla Model S Car Specifications and Price | CarTrade

Tesla Inc has set up its shop in India and is expected to launch its products in India by the beginning of 2022. As is its philosophy, the company is expected to begin launching its products from the top-down – meaning the first car to be offered here will be the flagship Model S sedan.

The four-door low-slung Model S’ design was inspired by the Mercedes-Benz CLS four-door coupe and gives it a sleek, curvy design. For 2021, it gets slimmer lights on the outside and subtle changes to the body lines for that fresh look.

The biggest change to the Model S is on the inside. The dashboard is completely new, with a yoke steering wheel (a racecar-like rectangular unit with no upper or lower bits), horizontal layout central touchscreen, hidden AC vents, and new trim and upholstery. A new infotainment screen has been added for the rear passengers, placed on the back of the front centre console.

The Model S retains its skateboard-like electric battery-integrated chassis – this can power either a dual-motor setup like in the Long Range variant or a three-motor setup like in the Plaid and the Plaid+ variants. The maximum claimed range on a single charge is between 628km to 837km. The Model S Plaid+ can accelerate from 0-100kmph in a mind-boggling two seconds.
