Funimation Channel launched as a syndicated block on Colours TV on September 29, 2005.

2009–2011

On May 1, 2009, Funimation Channel became a 24-hour English-dubbed anime subscription network.

2011–2015

On September 8, 2011, it was reported that the channel would relaunch as Toku on 31 December 2015. It was subsequently announced, on 15 December 2015, that Funimation would end its partnership with Olympusat and relaunch Funimation Channel in 2016.

Toku launched on December 31, 2015.

2018–present

On March 28, 2018, the Toku logo got a slight revision, with the TM symbol replaced by a registered trademark symbol, and introduced a new slogan “Live The Action”.
