The Russian Business Leaders Program

The Russian Business Leaders (RBL) is a program for Russian professionals from the private sector (employees, owners, founders) including startups, innovative and social entrepreneurship. The program is designed to strengthen professional ties between Russian and American entrepreneurs and business communities, to exchange best business practices and expand professional networks.

The RBL program offers an opportunity to gain exposure to the US private sector and participate in professionally-relevant, tailored four-week fellowships at a wide-variety of US businesses and non-profit organizations, university business departments, accelerators, and other related institutes and enterprises focused on building businesses. RBL will provide participants with an array of modern business tools, concepts, and principles that will strengthen their leadership and technical abilities through interactive and personalized projects, as well as build enduring professional relationships between Americans and Russians who share an interest in driving economic development forward. Many finalists will also have the opportunity to live with an American host family and invite an American colleague back to Russia/for virtual cooperation to explore prospects for joint business projects.

Finalists are selected through an open, merit-based competition, including an online interview in English. RBL pays for visas, flights and all living expenses while on the program.

To be eligible for the Russian business Leaders Program, applicants must:

• Be a citizen of the Russian Federation;
• Be a current resident of Russia or, if based outside of Russia, have strong ties to the Russian Federation and the intent of returning to Russia in the future;
• Be 22 to 40 years of age at any time of application;
• Be proficient in English;
• Have at least 2 years of experience in the private sector and commitment to a career in the private sector;
• Have demonstrated business leadership skills and experience.
