Located just four miles east of Lancaster, in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, the Cartoon Network Hotel is as family-friendly as it gets.

This one-of-a-kind hotel has a total of 159 rooms, many large enough to sleep a family of four. The colorful guest room decor evokes the fun and whimsy of six Cartoon Network series: The Amazing World of Gumball, Adventure Time, Ben 10, The Powerpuff Girls, Steven Universe and We Bare Bears. 

Designed with kids in mind, each room has a 49-inch large screen TV and mini-fridge for families with insatiable snackers. Exterior entryways to these rooms (like those found at a motel) allow easy access to free parking and bypassing of common areas. 

Four Dream Suites—Adventure Time, Ben 10, The Powerpuff Girls and Steven Universe— are located upstairs from the lobby in the main building. Each suite, which can sleep 6-8 guests, comes with its own kitchenette and dining area (with microwave, mini-fridge, and coffeemaker). Here the size of the living room area TV screens to 75-inches. Two of these suites are ADA accessible.

All accommodations offer high-speed Wi-Fi hotspots for the whole family to stay connected.

Other memory-making amenities at this extremely photogenic hotel, in addition to a gift shop, include:

  • Omnicade, an electronic game arcade with virtual reality experiences; 
  • Toon Room, a relaxing lounge with four Powerpuff Yourself stations; and
  • An outdoor and heated indoor pool (availability of both subject to weather). 

The Cartoon Kitchen is a full-service, on-premises restaurant with kid-friendly menus and bold cartoon character decor. The hotel also has a Bearista Cafe offering coffees, teas, grab-and-go snacks, and mixed cocktails for the adults.

Currently operating at full capacity, the Cartoon Network Hotel first opened in January 2020, closed briefly during the pandemic, and reopened at a limited capacity in the summer of 2021. The hotel is a great base for exploring scenic Lancaster, an area that is rich in history. Families will enjoy driving through 25 covered bridges, past farmlands, catching glimpses of horse-and-buggies along the road, and visiting local Amish markets and Pennsylvania Dutch-style restaurants.
