Sword Art Online season 4 Netflix release date confirmed for February 2022

After an incredibly long wait, Netflix is finally releasing the highly-anticipated fourth season of the beloved sci-fi adventure anime series Sword Art Online!

The third season left thousands of Netflix users with a million and one questions, wondering not only about what happens to Kirito after he finds out Asuna’s at Rath, but also about what next steps he will take now that he has seemingly come under attack. Thankfully, these burning questions and more will be answered soon enough.

Sword Art Online season 4 Netflix release date

Save the date because Sword Art Online season 4 is coming to Netflix, Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022 at 3:01 a.m. EST/12:01 a.m. PST!

On this exact date, the streaming platform will, hopefully, release the remaining 23 episodes of Alicization so that fans can finally receive some closure regarding Kirito’s journey thus far. The episodes are slated to be the usual 23 minutes or so and should have the same TV-MA age rating unless stated otherwise.

In addition to the number of episodes slated to be in the upcoming fourth season, the titles of the first 12 episodes of season 4 are also known. They are as followed:

Episode 25: “In the Far North”
Episode 26: “Raids”
Episode 27: “The Final Load Test”
Episode 28: “Dark Territory”
Episode 29: “The Night Before Battle”
Episode 30: “Battle of Knights”
Episode 31: “Stigma of the Disqualified”
Episode 32: “Blood and Life”
Episode 33: “Sword and Fist”
Episode 34: “Stacia, the Goddess of Creation”

And last but not least, the exciting 35th and 36th episodes are aptly titled “Heartless Choice” and “Ray of Light,” respectively.

As stated previously, we’re hoping that the streaming platform does give audiences all 23 of season 4’s latter half. On the off-chance that the site doesn’t do this, fans should expect at least these 12 episodes to arrive on the platform.
