Triple Eight Race Engineering has banded together two vastly different drivers at the different ends of their careers for a shot at Bathurst glory.

Declan Fraser has been partnered with seven-time Bathurst winner Craig Lowndes for the Repco Bathurst 1000.

21-year-old Fraser and 48-year-old Lowndes will share a Supercheap Auto-backed #888 Commodore wildcard for the race.

It’s another big time dress rehearsal for Fraser, who is eyeing a main game drive for 2023.

Fraser will make his first Bathurst start, and Lowndes his 29th. Lowndes’s first Bathurst win in 1996 came four years before Fraser was born.

Make no mistake – Fraser and Lowndes are hungry to rock the establishment, and Mount Panorama is the best possible place to do so.
