PI Network is a 24/7 television network that mainly airs cartoons and spin-offs to the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise. PI Network is targeted towards the lifeless teenagers demographic and is available to watch via most cable providers, and on demand online. The network is PI’s flagship channel and airs most of their content, among other acquired shows.

The network also works closely with the streaming service Cut-Out, with all original content being available to stream the same day it premieres on the channel.

Other TV networks owned by PI include PI News, PI XD and Temmie Central.

History

PI Network launched on May 12, 2018, in the United Kingdom and United States as a spin-off and replacement to the late night adult-oriented “Night Hours” programming block on the children’s network Temmie Central, after the block started receiving more content than the daytime blocks. The channel was originally called “STV3” as a compliment to PI’s now-defunct general entertainment networks “STV” and “STV2” (“Tea-V” and “Tea-V 2” as of their closure) which launched the same day. STV3 later rebranded to “Polo”, and then PomHub on April 18, 2020.

The network rebranded once again on March 14, 2021, to “PI Network”, as part of a restructuring of PI’s subsidiaries. PI Network now acts as PI’s main channel for the majority of their content, though other legacy channels such as Temmie Central and PTV still continue their run.

On January 17, 2022 the network launched in Libya, Chad, Canada and Penisia.

On February 13, 2022 the network an announced a partnership with Pluto’s network Playhouse Pluto, with the two networks starting a Saturday morning block together. Playhouse PI airs original content from both channels every Saturday from 8am through 12pm. The block began on February 19, 2022 and was a ratings success.

The network launched in Hungary and Canada on January 11, 2023.
